I did think that too, but I thought she wasn't gonna wake up during the 3days for some reason, (im also assuming the longer they take to make that decision the lower the chances of her surviving are) which is why I was dumbfounded why they were taking so long to decide (especially since right before this she was in total agreement about using the stone to some how save her life)
BUT the chapter right after this does explain how she wanted the gift to create, not just draw, which is why he didnt wanna take it away so I totally understood his thought process better (and honestly im just happy she woke up and was able to make the decision herself [kind of haha])
