I think even though it’s rape but it seems like the nii-san wanted the brother.. Even though the seme only came back cause he’s got no choice after seven years, to be moved and to fall truly in love twice with the same person, I would like to romantically call it true love and fate. At some point in life, like it or not, there are always decisions to make and as such your path will diverge from the people around you. The choices made differ at the point in time you made them based on your feelings, your mindset, your maturity, every little factors at that moment. Yes, he made a selfish choice, and follow through an selfish act of not coming back to visit the uke even once throughout the 7 years; but that’s probably because he felt that since he’s made the decision, he should be resolute in his resolve of wanting his uke to follow his dream. Also, I mean, he did lie about never liking the uke, so, what do you expect the seme to accomplish by coming back during that 7 years when he wanted the uke to follow his path as the seme ventured his own? I believed the seme would have thought that perhaps the uke has found a life partner to share his burdens and dreams with, maybe even settled down with a girlfriend or so; a future that doesn’t encapsulate the seme, which was his intention when he said he never like the uke isn’t it? To be fair, he suffered too and tried to forget but he never truly did, which was probably why he’s still single after all these years. And when fate brought them back together again, now both the uke and the seme is in the best positions and mindsets, compared to their younger self, to decide what they truly want and wish for, that is, to be together from here on out. In a way, I think this story beautifully depicts the different stages hence thinking in life, and as your thinking mature into adulthood, your way of solving problems and making decisions changes. They did waste a lot of precious time, but as both the seme and uke grow and mature in the years that they are apart, a fated reunion only makes their feelings for each other all the more precious and strong.
