You sound like you know for sure, but in the story it doesn't say who he wants. You might want to qualify your statement with an "I think it's Chris" instead of "Chris, of course"
Some people would disagree with you on this. Miyuki is a realist, not easily swayed by emotions. He might very well have meant that he wanted sawamura. Miyuki is well aware that Chris's injury will make it impossible for him to return to the team at this time, so why would he be wishing for something he knows is impossible?
That just doesn't fit his pragmatic character.
I don't know which character he is hoping for. It's annoyingly vague, and I don't think it's a good thing to leave unanswered in a story where the audience is already left with an infuriating cliffhanger on every chapter. That's my opinion. if anything I said sounds blunt or rude, please accept my apologies.
Don't get me wrong I rly like senpai HAHAHA but sometimes I feel so sad for morinaga ... I think he's always giving n giving he's like the most patient n forgiving seme on earth omg n I rly feel sad for him when senpai 'pushes him away' or not expressing his liking for mori. I mean I understand senpai's being tsundere n all but still yknow .. indescribable feelings haha
O my FRIGGEN gosh. Yes I totally think the same. I love senpai but I wish he would come to terms with his feelings. I mean, this is a yaoi story, just hurry it up already. lol if it were in reality, that would be a different thing but it's yaoi where a lot of unexplainable things (like the premises story) happen! I feel that Morinaga needs to start pushing and pulling even more with senpai.

Maybe sawamura won't be given the ace number since furuya really is strong to be honest. He's acknowledged by many and even miyuki has high hopes for him to become a true ace. BUT I'm sure sawamura will become a very very very important key pitcher that is revered and feared by many. A "troublesome player" seen by the opponents. It's like hinata in haikyuu. He's not called a progidy or an ace of the team but he grabs many attention to him as "that no. 10" the best decoy ever. So sawamura is awesome in his own league ^^ XD

It was the nicest before I watched Big Windup and DNA and I'm like "Hey, so... Fastball isn't the only pitch that they could throw and catchers have a say to the pitch call and stuff... Cause Goro kinda took all the burden cause he only knows how to throw fastballs at a high speed and 1 breaking ball (he learnt it at a later season).
But he didn't use that breaking ball that much.
Is it just me but I kinda wish kamishiro would get a divorce w his wife yukie (most prob bcuz she ran off w another man or smth) and then get tgt w kazu. Kazu seems like he's taking interest in him remembering his first name "Shuichi" ^^ heh
He did got tgt w shuuchi in the sequel called Shite! Haha I can only find the Chinese version for it but well all the relationships in that sequel r pretty much tangled tgt. When they were tgt there were temptations n all and it's mostly on kazu's part so..

it's so strange normally things like what happens after highschool normally does not enter into my mind as part of the main story (apart from epilogue)
the time span/ chapter span of ppl turning into 3rd years is just so fast and it is so noticeable cuz all the characters in each yr are lovable (≧∀≦)
