The pacing is awful, dear lord it's so awkward. The plot is interesting and I'm looking forward to the prince slowly discovering colors, but plot alone can't make a good story. The characters are very very important as well. The mc is... she's just so annoying I'm so sorry. Barely any depth to her character! And I hate her rhetoric that only by meeting his fated love could his life change. Shouldn't she know the character she made herself!? What made the prince miserable was not his inability to see all colors but the fact that he got separated from his mother! He didn't see colors as a kid before too but he's happy, right!? That's because he's with his mother and surrounded by people who doesn't fear him. Mc you gotta remember your own goddamn story puhlease (ノಥ,_」ಥ)ノ彡┻━┻

She's been looking over her family to the best of her ability even as a fragment of her soul. She must be so relieved that Athy and Claude love each other to the point of sacrifice, especially when compared to how it was before (and yes, I'm including the past where Athy was originally killed, that was really the worst)

If I have an affection meter right now, it would be well into the negatives and currently going fast to hell for the brother. That's how low I see him. He's shittier than actual shit. If he's on fire right in front of me, I wouldn't even spit on him. Even enemies has more respect for their rival than him to his own stepsister. Look, the prince who's on 3% cares more for her when he's on 25% what. the. actual. fck. Yeah, there's no redeeming that trash family.
I read this entire thing within a day. I didn't sleep. Seriously, I can't believe I kept putting off reading this masterpiece! I love everything about this ugh. The plot, characters, art and the execution of the scenes are all so very well done. Honestly, I can see a lot of thought was made into the making of this webtoon. Especially the chapters where there's hardly a line delivered. Those were absolutely brilliant, I was out of breath just watching the scenes play out.
Also, I'm so glad they didn't give the former king a sad backstory the readers can sympathize with. They were on point when they wrote that people in real life do horrible things for reasons that can't be excused no matter what. Every now and then, a case similar to the actions of the former king will be broadcasted, and what makes it worse was the fact that they've done it to their own family. But the one with the dog almost made me vomit though, I can't breathe properly at that part.
I'm thoroughly enjoying the fact that the protagonists are not infallible. They made mistakes and dealt with its consequences. I was shocked by the extent of Shin's torture, since they were usually rescued before any everlasting harm can be made. The authors are really true to their work, no cutting corners for the sake of the plot!
But I guess, that's the charm of this story. It's all so uncomfortably realistic. They've shown humanity's best and worst characteristics. And of course, they've shown us different kinds of love. I'm looking forward to seeing more of their work!
(Now, imma sleep cuz my head's been protesting for the past couple of hours and it kinda feels like I'm floating heh.)
