Honestly though the way he belittles bum and looking down on him all the time is what really pisses me off the most....I don't care for the torture but the way he plays with him annoys me.....And the way the bad guy is so "perfect" (air quotes) makes my blood boil! But at the same time I want Bum to be happy and get an amazing guy to love and over protect our tiny MC!

Just go for it! It's really fucked up but also addictive and has a really good plot. I stopped reading Moritat a while ago, It turned out really frustrating and there're lots of plot twists that made me go meh.
