this artist knows their thing! might be the best drawn smut i've seen in a webtoon that i can't even be horny because the art is taking my attention.
smut aside, the story is kinda... good? i wasn't expecting much bcs a lot of the historical mature bl have been a miss (for me) in the story department but this one has something more to it than smut. also the villain here is so good that i'm finding it hard to hate her. she's pure evil i like that.
very hard to read, suffocating even, but somehow i read all 60 chapters. am i... a masochist?!?! anyone who's planning to read this, save yourself.
one thing i noticed is how the author explains some of the skills they possessed from its limitation -> uses -> how to improve it. i was surprised when they went into detail with the awakened spark dude in the village, details like that even if they're small gives the story and the characters so much life and not feel surfaced-level.
i also like how aside from the main characters, the side characters also have more depth into them and they're just not existing in the background like props. i thoroughly enjoyed reading this that i sometimes forget that it's bl and even omegaverse lol i am only reminded when it gets mentioned time to time.
and i didn't mean that this being a bl/omegaverse is a bad thing (just want to make this clear cause some might take it that way and cease my existence.)

Since i say this to a lot of people, if you like reading novels, you should totally try to read this one, it’s so well written. And the characters feels even more alive since the novel obviously has more details. Even though this webtoon is actually really good .

this is the first time in which i read the chapters twice bcs alot of the things happening barely make sense to me or there's a lot of missing infos for me to comprehend the "dire" situation they're in. i think if we were introduced in detail with how powerful the elders are at the beginning then i would've felt the gravity of the situation but the way Lian and that other dude (mali's partner) narrated its background it just sounded like a hush whisper in my head.
this is the type of story telling where the author doesn't give answers but leave you assuming the answer. there's a lot of explaining here but it only leads you to another question, never an answer which i'm not really a fan of. i think it's best to read this when it's finished cause that way, maybe everything will make sense by the end. anyway the only character i like here is fu rin. best girl.

I meannn its a mystery? That's what mysteries do. If we automatically knew the head elders are the ones to blame there would be no mystery to solve... The head family is supposed to be something that's threatening but lingers in the background behind everyone always watching. And trust me they get very threatening VERY fast.

that's pretty much about it, there's no defending any of them cause they're both shitty in their own way. ml is definitely the reason why his "friend" died but mc doesn't give a damn of said "friend". mc is a proud slut and he knows he's an asshole and he embraces that which is interesting cause you don't encounter such mcs that often here.
