Saddly, this is not always right. People who have serious self esteem issues don't easily become more self confident, even if their families and boyfriends tell them they are gorgeous and amazing... It can help, or it can not , bit it's more of an internal struggle. (Also some people who are insecure/anxious tend to lie about their feelings, hurt and push away people who care about them because they are afraid of being heartbroken or because they don't trust anyone) ...
You're right. I totally get it cuz i used to be like that. Even now i still have major trust issues but my self esteem is high. Overcoming insecurities needs lots of struggle. I guess different ppl may have different ways and the way that works for me won't work for the other. For me, love heals. (⌒▽⌒)
