I gave it a chance. I love Alpha x Alpha scenarios, but this is just stupid. No business manager would allow a customer to disrupt the entire location and harass the employees. They would demand that they leave and call the police. This is a business issue not a personal one.

I know everyone is going after the Professor and I kinda hate him too, but not for the same reasons.
His reactions are actually quite common. When you love and care for someone, you can't believe that they would really be as bad as someone says they are.
I was in a very abusive situation. I told friends and family, but they only saw the charming person outside, not the screaming aggressive person reserved for inside the home. Everyone couldn't believe it was as bad as I said.
Not until that person lost it in front of others. Then they apologized and wanted to help.
I hate the professor because he represents all the people who wouldn't listen.

Exactly the opposite actually. They don't believe and do their best to convince you that it wasn't that bad and you are the one who misunderstood.
Only the people who witnessed it personally have any sympathy. Even with witnesses backing me up, everyone else still behaved just like the professor.
Honestly, he is way nicer than me. I don't put up with it anymore. It is like politics or religion, just don't talk about it.
But the point is, life is complicated and there are no easy answers. We all deal with problems the best we can.
The Author's representation of the professor is accurate to life. They aren't deliberately cruel or trying to hurt you. They just love and care for a person who was awful to you. Hurting them, doesn't make you feel better.
I'm interested in seeing how our character will ultimately deal with the pain he has been living with all this time. There will definitely be more difficulties before we get there.
Personally, I'm offended at the mother leaving her children with a violent drunk gambler. Yeah, get out, But take your CHILDREN with you! Bitch.
I am confused. I must have been living in LALA land until now because I did not hear a mother leaving her child or children behind in uncertain living circumstances and hit the road to a better life. Only in mangas that I am reading frequently I see/read/hear about this kind of thing. These kind of shitty mothers are really out there? Because every story can be based on a bit of reality but, like, every third to fifth story is based on this drama. Is it a common drama line in the stories or...? Better be! Those kinds of mothers should just drop dead on the road side! In stories and real life either.
I think it's an easy trope to go to for authors to force their characters into a tragic backstory pf isolation and loneliness. Same with parents dying in a car crash, which is equally as common.
Those types are out there.
well said. it is indeed another common drama plot. You can think that every second family have at least one member dying out of accident being as it may car/plane-crash or whatnot. (〜￣△￣)〜
