SO. I have read all raws. So, I propose my interpretation and my analyse for all person interested in this manga.
My first interpretation is to remark that this manga is sort of "inversement of original book". It mean primarely that Athy and Jenette have inversed role. I think it's the big error of Athanasia, she is only reffering at the original story and this is a problem because Athanasia is not at all the Athanasia of the book. Even if elements are the same, characters also, Athanasia is an enormous "anomaly" due to the fact she knows the "original" novel the begining and the end. She automaticaly changed the story and so the relations that original Athanasia had with all characters.
I think seriously that Athanasia made a mistake considering that she is not Athanasia. I mean, she separes constantly the figure of Athanasia of Herself, but she IS Athanasia, not the girl she was before, Athanasia is HER. She has an impact in every characters and every characters have an impact on her. It's to late, his father deeply love her and at less to be victime by an evil trick or other things, he will not let his daughter, the Diane's daughter run away (Watch his reaction during the bal). There are too many people who love her. But the heroin is only referring to the book, persuaded that the story will finished like she finished in the book, while she is NOT in a book but in the reality. Perhaps, the story will have a bad end but never like the book. And this is why Athanasia doen't make attention at what is happening around her, she is fixed on the original story. But, she is not stupid, she guesses that there are elements differents, she must quickly be detached to the original novel if not, she will have very bad problems. She doesn't make the difference between the book and the reality, and she ignores what it's really dangerous (for example, the guy with black hair and eyes, who ressemble stragely to Claude coindicence I don't think so...)
Spoilers of the last chapters
When Jennette offers a gift to Athanasia (which is by the strange guy), I'm also afraid that the story is inversed in the sense that the person who will be accused to kill is Jennette and that the only girl who will be killed is Athanasia. In the chapter where main protagonist go in city, we see that Jennette is really innocent and manipulable what is not the case of Athanasia who know very well, for example that the Ezekiel's father is not an innocent guy. Ezekiel's father and his mysterious complice begin to change of strategy, they understand that they can't replace Athanasia by Jennette (I think it was the goal to be closer to Claude and therefore the throne) and that Claude is deeply attached to his daughter, more than they thought. So the best way to weakened Claude is to attack Athanasia, it's a pure logic and the same of the book but inversed, Jennette is poisoned in book to reach indirectly Claude.
I precise that it's just analyse and proposition of interpretation. There are so many things that I find strange and questionable. To begin, I find the book that Athanasia read in her previous life is strange. Where does this book come from? Who write this novel ?
Then, why in the novel Athanasia's mother has is so unimportant? I mean, I can understand the hatred he had towards his daughter in the book, but why is Diane's importance not emphasized ? Then, how come Claude so easily killed Athanasia in the book? I know he's a psychopath, but he's not as stupid as that, if he really wanted to kill Athanasia he would not have waited for her to be accused of poisoning. Claude is not stupid, he would have doubted that it is not Athanasia the real culprit in the book.
Then, why our Athanasia's magic is so powerfull ? It's not mentioned in the book. Lucas is not mentioned in the book, since Athy meets him in real life...
I find personally this book very... uncanny. Because, all turn around Jennette why ? why everything in the book seems to overwhelm Athanasia and succeed to Jenette to end in double death ?
I want really discuss with all of you about this, please give me your opinion >o< sorry for my mistakes english isn't my native language.

I agree with your theory. Athy and Jeanet roles are totally inverse. She is too aatched to original story that she never took in consideration that her moves had a hudge impact on true life. She is targered by Ijekel's father and Claude's brother now that Claudes started to develop warm feeling toward her. And don't forget Lucas who was never mentionned in original story!!
It's that's why I like this story because things are never written by advance. Sorry for my poor english~

Yes, but I don't think that if Claude really hated Athanasia, he wouldn't wait to kill her. I think that in the book, we have a Claude just cruel. However, the story show us a Claude cruel okay but very intelligent. He is not stupid, I'm just suprise that in the original story he killed Athanasia without any reflexions...

Diana’ lack of importance in the original is because Claude already got rid of his memories towards Diana by that time and the world was built surrounding Jennette. Jennette would ofc remind him of her evil mother who he used to have a fond memory of and held on to longer than Diana (explained by the picture still in his room. Why he kept that? Don’t really know because at the time, the world was still built for Jennette and Athy hasn’t shifted the narrative yet)
To expand and explain some of your theories
Spoiler (possibly)
A) The changing POV
I think ppl forgot that Athy said this book was cliche mess and from the logic of the original book, loose ends were actually never tied (as in Jennette felt guilty but did nothing to fix the damage) and everything was originally built for Jennette, that’s why there are many discrepancies between the current time and the first time. But with Athy changing the tide, the world shifted its focus and started to play out depending on Athy’s real time actions (which she doesn’t realise). Just like how you are the MC of your own world and life goes on even when you don’t exist in it.
B) Lucas was mentioned but was never explored further
Lucas’ existence was never explored in the original book but was mentioned so he became a wildcard that just grew as part of the in-book universe. Because the original Athy was gloomy and never really went outside, she never got to meet Blackie and Lucas. Blackie, imo, without ever meeting its owner could not manifest and Lucas would have eaten it like he said he would.
C) The original Claude’s wilful forgetfulness and resentment
Claude said before that just one more year and he could forget Diana and that was the key. Because the original Athy met him too late, all that was left in him was resentment and not the love he had for her mother. Also since you’ve read the raws, you’d see a scene where Claude collapsed and Jennette frantically came in with the former crown prince (his dead brother), that I believe was the “after happily ever after”, where Claude was completely manipulated by Ijekiel’s father and his older brother.
Things that remain consistent: The existence of the great magician (which never was explored in the og), the circumstances of both princesses’ births, Claude’s slowly getting rid of his memories after the massacre, the evil schemes that use Jennette to manipulate Claude, the fact that his brother has dark magic.
Because the original book just focused on making Jennette become loved by everyone, it never resolved the schemes that directed towards Claude and the author basically let the evil schemes of Ijekiel’s father and her real father succeed. That’s why it was relatively easy for Athy to shift the narrative.
Anw, the original Athy had all the ingredients for success but she was fucked over by timing and narrative.

Yes that's so true. Claude never took intiative to know Athy. He just wanted to rid her existence because she reminded him, her lost beloved :/
So in this progression, the history and characthers are changing. Athy will survive but Jeannet will be the one who could be killed by Claude. Schemes and manipulations from Claude's bro and Ijekel's father will be revealed, step by step. And we'll see of each characters's point of view. Don't forget we don't know what's behind scene.

It's completely stupid to decide to say nothing at her boyfriend. Fuck, you haven't problems with him, and a pregnancy is not ONLY a affair of WOMAN. What's the fuck is with that manga ?! Man would dream to see her wife pregnant with his child ! It's cruel to private him of this happiness ! They make love TOGETHER so, it's completely stupid and idiot to say "it's me who must take care of that" I understand that she is afraid to say that at her parents or boyfriend, but it's worst saying nothing ! It's unfair and it make me angry ! It's not realistic, if man and woman are in love and make a child, ALL MUST BE PREVENTED EVEN THE FATHER ! It's completely ridiculous if there aren't any problems with the father who is totally normal WHY YOU DON'T SAY THAT HE GONNA BE FATHER ?!!!! "For his study" of course... IT'S HIS CHILD IDIOT, I think that this man is enough intelligent to understand that his child is more important ! You're alone in home, while you have the possibility to have a man with you to help you and a family ! But no, you want to rise this child alone. A lot of women would have wanted your luck. You hide all of this at your boyfriend, and it's not a solution it's just stupid.
I'm extremely deceived by this author. We fought for sex equality and we have now a woman who take care alone of her pregnancy just because "man is studying" so you must sacrificied your time and not him ? Ok. Good.

A work from an anthor has always a message to give, a message about society and life. Even it's fiction, it's not something which is not real. For example, if you have a story which defend racism even it's a fiction we'll be shocked ! Just because it's "fiction" is not an excuse to put negative messages and confirm them. Even if we can talk about in fiction, but we must show this situation ok, but we can criticize and present negative point of this ...

OH YEAH !
Guys are you fucking serious ? "gneugneu poor Sungyeon" he deserves completly this situation !
OK Hosik should have to prevent that he spends the night with his friend... BUT I precise that his "nice" husband take the call of Jiwoon (HOSIK'S FRIEND) in HOSIK'S PHONE and dare to ask at Jiwon (HOSIK'S FRIEND) to not call Hosik at night ... REALLY ? It's NOT his business seriously ! It's HOSIK'S LIFE THAT ! The problem with Sungyeon : he is TOO oppressive with Hosik ! He follows him everywhere, wants that Hosik be with him every time it's EXHAUSTING ! Hosik is NOT Sungyeon's property ! He is a human and needs a private life where Sungyeon is NOT here !
Hosik is right to be angry, his husband passed the limit ! Hosik is not only angry because what Jiwon did say and what's happened this night, he is angry about ALL WHAT'S HAPPENING ! From the beginning, Sungyeon is all the time with him ! c'mon, Hosik is NOT a baby, he can take care of himself ALONE even PREGNANT ! What did you think ? Hosik is an adult and have majority ! He MUST BE independent and basically he doesn't need to anyone to take care of himself !
YES Hosik should says to his husband when he is not home, but he can have friends like EVERYONE ! His husband IS NOT his life but an big part of his part, but not enterely his life. Hosik do whatever HE WANTS of his life, his husband have NOT the right to aswer at his calls and touch at his PRIVATED affairs.
Personnaly I can't stand a person like Sungyeon ! I would become insane without oxygene ! -_- Jiwoon is really extreme but he is not totally wrong ! Sungyeon is too ... Too stifling ! Hosik is in Jiwoon's house because HE WANTED be here ! Jiwoon is right ! Hosik needs to be angry at Sungyon to make him understand that he is too stifling !! The communication is very important between lovers, the problem is that Hosik is too nice and doesn't know say STOP and NO. This is the biggest problems of their couple and Sungyeon needs to be stopped. The mariage is one of thing that made me angy Sungyeon CAN'T understand how is difficult to be pregnant in surprise and being a pregnant man ! He imposes directly this mariage to Hosik for me, it was too fast and Hosik was clearly manipulated by Sungyon !
