I honestly don’t see the second couple working out for much longer. They both have different goals that aren’t compatible with each other. Wife is the type of person who prefers her work over her husband, while husband is someone who values quality time. Everyone has a right to enjoy something they love. But it’s important to balance that with your partners needs as well, when you loose that balance, the relationship becomes fragile.
She should take that job offer, because at the end of the day, it’s something she’s always wanted and husband knows this. Divorce is probably for the best. So they can find someone else who have the same values as them.
Everyone in this story is flawed and selfish. While i understand why the second couple act the way they do, their actions aren’t justified. Like the husband, i understand he was being neglected, but emotionally cheating isn’t justified. Same goes for wife, i understand she loves her job, but you can’t just neglect your relationship and expect them to always be happy when you leave them.
I’m basically just gonna ramble about the plot so this is gonna a long one.
I feel like I might’ve judged the ml a bit too harshly. He’s got this “savior complex” mentality going on due to the love of his life dying tragically young. Which obviously made him develop unhealthy coping mechanisms like sleeping with multiple women so those women can feel better?? Idk how else to phrase that.
I don’t particularly like playboy mls. I wouldn’t say he is one, since playboys are more egotistical but he’s like one. At least it’s not as bad as the other playboy mls I’ve read where fl and ml are already in a relationship and the ml cheats on her and she forgives him because he’s “always gonna find his way home”, but yeah I still don’t like him.
I feel more pity towards him, having to use his body in order to comfort women who don’t seem to care about his feelings. Going back to my point on unhealthy coping mechanism, you can replace his habits with either drinking, gambling, etc and you’ll get the same thing . I don’t like that the fl doesn’t stop him from doing this, not for her own benefit but because I feel as though it’s enabling this cycle he’s never gonna move out of.
Now for the fl, I don’t really know what to say honestly. Someone in the comments kinda summed basically how I felt. Especially with her forgiving the mistress who intentionally stole her fiancé and attempted to sabotage her work. Maybe the creator is trying go for the “be the bigger person” but I hate it. You can still have kind and soft characters who don’t forgive them right away. Like ok? The mistress apologized? That’s it?
Anyways that’s just my rant. Maybe I’ll change my view but for now, this one was mehhh.
This artist sure does like ntr. I knew about the outcome yet somehow I’m still disappointed.
I was not expecting to cry so much in this chapter. Compared all the moments that happened to Penelope, this one just hits home. You can see how she keeps all the characters at arms length and it’s the first time we see her vulnerable to another person and even accepting a hug.
I can’t help but think of the real Penelope and wonder how she would’ve reacted to this.
Im all for milfs and older women but this just grooming. It’s already bad enough she knew him when he was a child but it’s worse when she was walking around his house nude. That’s gross.

This is story where EVERYONE is flawed. The second wife is literally the less flawed one out all of them. Why am I seeing so many comments attacking only her when her husband cheated on her? I’ve already explained my personal thoughts on their characters but few of y’all are missing the point of what the creator is trying to make.
Fmc feels unwanted in her marriage and is seeking some sort of validation from another person, her husband lied to her about ever wanting kids. Something that was so important to her that it shattered any hope of trying to save the failing marriage.
I’m not going to repeat myself on the second couple but I will add more. The second husband KNEW that 2nd wife was someone who was passionate about her work however he underestimated how much he could’ve handled not being able to see her from time to time. And I called it when I said she was going to accept the offer because if she hadn’t, she would’ve regretted and that would’ve lead to resentment towards her husband. She now acknowledges that she shouldn’t expect her partner to just suck it up and should find someone who can handle her. Someone who has the same values. I’m hoping the same applies to the now ex husband, to not “bite off more than he can chew”
Idk about the bashing of the second wife, but I can see why people focus their comments more on her. The other three are VERY obvious about their issues, and it’s self-explanatory- there’s no actual need to spell it out what’s wrong with them. Most of the hate or bashing of the other three characters happened in the beginning or a while ago when the scenes of them still happened. Now we hardly see the OG FL and her ex husband hence why no one speaks much about them anymore since they’re not relevant to the POV happening now. I do agree that the story revolves around all four characters as flawed people and none being 100% good.
The only reason I focused more on the second wife was because she’s a bit harder to notice her own issues compared to the others. Since she’s displayed in the sort of pitiful way compared to everyone else, I wanted to point out certain low key things that weren’t as obvious to show she’s also flawed.
That’s fair. I did point out some flaws the second wife has as well myself in my last comment. Stuff like how one can’t expect their partner to always put up with her lack of contribution to the marriage and finding a balance with what she likes aka her job and her husband otherwise the relationship would fall apart (which it did lol)
However someone was saying how if the second wife likes her job more than her husband, she should “fck” herself and that she’s a bad person which I really don’t think that even compares to everyone else who were cheating on their spouses. And proceeded to call her a cold person, which was really weird because I know she has some issues to resolve but at the end of the day her husband knew she was someone passionate about her job and overestimated how much he could handle. It sounded like a woman can’t enjoy something that makes her passionate other than a man.
Yeahhh I don’t agree with that person, it sounds like they just projected their own ideal or trauma onto her. Maybe they had a partner who focused more on their work than them hence why they’re mad at her. There’s also women who do have close minded ideas due to being raised in a culture that has women less than men (I’ve personally seen such women criticizing others who don’t fit into their standards like not dressing modestly or having armpit hair, or having guy friends, etc.)
