I mean, yeah. A lot of people are just misogynistic and don't want a random girl to have a romance with a male mc. Others have a bad history with girls being romantic with a male main character in the past because the way that North Asian media portrays women (especially in books, comics and other media) is boring, gushy, whiny, mean, "sassy", stupid, emotional, weak, and with no character depth, so, they usually say they don't want romance when it involves women unless it ACTUALLY has great plot and character depth (I have thankfully found a bit but not enough). Some people just don't like romance at all (depends on how I am feeling at the moment). Others absolutely thrive on it.
