At some point in the story he said he left his mom to her friends. He said it was when she was getting more sickly but honestly being told he was like his dad was-like wtf? She was rubbing me wrong when she interrupted YC to ask about his shitty father early on even though she knew what he was like and now…idk. Her getting sicker was probably a factor but I would’ve stopped visiting as much after being told I resembled the shitty side of my dad lmaoo. I mean, it seems like after that he started putting on a bright personality so maybe he needed to hear it. Idk man. Honestly, he needed someone to be himself with the most and he didn’t get it back then…that’s how I feel. Also his rs with his sister eventually recovered itself by the looks of it. Nothing serious happened. They end up living together in the ending chapter. I cant speak japanese but he was most likely just afraid and went back on his word by the looks of it. And the dog ear haired guy gets uneasy over their relationship after seeing how close his lover is with his coworker. They talk it over though in the end. The dog ear haired guy has a friend who is in the same college as him who finds out about his relationship after seeing them holding hands at a festival. And red head and his mom get closer. That’s pretty much it though. Fluffy and sweet with a bit of uneasiness. Nothing to worry about though. As for how many chapters…looks like 5-6 with three pages of extra stuff.
