I get that Hikaru was a cat so cats can be bitchy, but that DID NOT justify what he said about Masora. Especially because he didn’t JUST say Masora was useless but ALSO said he was using Masora for money (which the story forgot to bring up again when Masora confronted Hikaru). Like, I understand being a bit bitter towards a naive friend, but you DON’T shit talk them to strangers, you talk to them yourself. Still doesn’t excuse the “he’s loaded and pays for my meals whenever we go out” shit. Like, gold digger WHO?? Hikaru is a TOXIC friend. Period.
Aside form that MAIN STORY IS PEAK PEAK PEAK! WE NEED more chapters of them dating in Tokyo! THE ROMANCE WAS TOO SHORT LIVED!! And, god, Masora is so cute! He’s sheltered but NEVER cocky about his wealth or mean spirited about being more privileged. He’s literally a cinnamon roll in every sense of the phrase!

But I thought the story was actually really cute, really well rounded, and found the main couple super interesting. Yeah, the seme was kinda bum, but he truly loved the uke, and the uke loved him. And it was nice to see the seme move towards getting better by actually getting a job and the uke moving away from his addiction. Some people just don’t want the happye ending they got with this.

But shit is getting kinda old. We’re pretty early in this story still and I feel like I’ve seen more new characters than I have recurring older ones. Like, I get the new guy is a baddie, but having ANOTHER supernatural being that has beef with the ML (and the ML had every right to fight back. Some RANDOM PERSON was manhandling him) is really starting to bother me. Especially because I feel like we FINALLY made development with our MC and ML romantically, and than we leave the sex scene and they are right where we started. If I wanted a slow burn I’d read Lost in the Cloud

this story is planned to be long. there aren't even that many characters and they're here to keep setting up events and furthering the plot, along with adding more mystery. I think ur just used to 2-3 characters in bl lol.
Yep. And if I may add, everyone aside from these three has been introduced since the first season. Also how anyone, after 40+ chapters, hasn't already caught on that this was going to be slow burn is beyond me. The romance will progress alongside the plot.
But he has the worst personality. Man is CLEARLY smitten with MC but STILL treats the MC like shit. Meanwhile I don’t LOVE Woori, but man is so cute acting all silly with his crush. Man, it’s these awful MLs that we gotta wait for redemption just to like that make me not wanna read a series
There are a lot of different comments on this and I have to say, if you’re reading this, STICK IT OUT. The main couple has MAD communication issues (which, when doesn’t a romance couple have those) but they do ALL get solved in a satisfying manner. Warning, there is grooming and minor sexual assault, but that’s so common in BL that this manhwa manages to do it in a less icky way. Not to say it isn’t there, so if you can’t handle those, steer clear, but it’s not bad enough to ruin the story. It’s actually a pretty beautiful historical manhwa with generally likable characters, a very interesting plot, a FINE ML, and m-preg that leads to one of the cutest manhwa babies I’ve witnessed.
But I ADORE Sungkyung. Like, something about him is so adorable to me. And it makes me so sad that Cheong-rim kinda treats him like shit. Like, I know he’s getting better and starting to treat Sungkyung better since he’s falling in love but I need these two fluffy and soft NOW! Someone who finished the novel, PLEASE, do we get fluff!? I need these two happy and in love ASAP!
But I take it the OTHER way. In the dream, he’s trying to FOLLOW MC’s parents (like, into death), but our snake ML stops him and that reminds him that MC still needs him. But that’s just how I interpreted it.
