Actually, I was thinking 'what a mood killer'. Is it just me?

no, I thought the same thing Andreita

But actually it wasn't rape, he could refuse him. I think both sides wanted to do it, maybe he was only too shy and then he used this opportunity.^^

It was sexual assault. He said no. I really don't like how they downplay this. But I understand that it is a common topic in yaoi even if it's horrible.

Even if he didn't refuse, image a guy you're interested in pushes you down, kisses you and then comes out with that line. It immediately changes the setting from "I'm crazy about you" to "stay still while I make myself feel good".

For those who dislike reading novels, you should really try for this series because these novels conveys things that the manga (which also skipped some scenes) does not. I know it takes time to read them all, but they are worth it. You can also see some of Odagiri Hotaru's artwork in them too. And, if you read the extra in the last volume, it tells the story that the manga covers in Kazuki's perspective. It's the sweetest thing I have ever read since it reveals how he got the ring back.

I agree with those who wants the entire thing adapted to manga (I want to see them being lovey dovey with each other), but keep in mind that Odagiri is also pretty busy (and slow, as she has stated in the extra). The manga only covers half of the first volume so it's a hell of a lot of work. So if possible, read the novels.
