i was always low key wondering ehy his mom whom seemed so awesome never seemed to contact him the entirety of the story. I cried a little when he started talking to his mother. He's so young no more than 35 (and that's pushin it). His mother must have passed young too.

since the chapters are so short and this updates pretty slowly, id recommend reading the LN if u want some closure, its been updated to a good enough spot to end at least a 1st arc. i say that bc idk how long the story is supposed to actually be
honestly i dont even know any real spoilers but i still think she's just so.. dumb sometimes lol. Like when she was talking about sword training until u hurt ur hands? Literally anybody who trains with swords does that and gets callouses, it's not as ridiculous as she makes it out to be. i really dont know how much longer i can read this, all it's been in these latest chapters exposition which isn't bad if done subtly. But all this exposition is just putting the whole story to a halt and its honestly boring lmao rip i was rooting for u
If you wanted boring, clichéd romance then there are plenty of other stories like that out there for you. This story is progressing the way it NEEDS to. Not the author's fault you can't see that.
I was in total agreement with you up until you made the common annoying assumption that the story is annoying because you don't get world building or subtle hints.
subtle foreshadowing and world building is not annoying. Ive read plenty of stories with fantastic world building because it was well done. This world building is just a giant wall of information all at once with barely any forward movement in the plot besides what? Character introduction? Bland monologing from the mc? Sure, you can say this story needs to introduce all of this information to make sense, but I'm sure they could've found a way to do this that was easier to absorb.
