the manga and the novel are progressing differently. why does it feel like both versions have a different male lead.

the events in the manga are happening a lot faster by skipping things that happen in the novel. i don’t remember too clearly but i think some events may have been rearranged, some added, and some skipped entirely. take that with a grain of salt.
also in the novel she does spend time with the prince but it’s clear that she is thinking a lot more about her friend and not the prince. but in the manga the prince has more scenes than the friend, so it’s confusing.

Oh I see....I notice mangas that adapted from a novel tend to gloss over some events often it feels like it's a speed run for a recap. Like this manga I read called "Auto-mode Expired in the 6th Round of the Otome Game" like holy shit I don't even need to read the novel to know that they are speeding through this. Thank you for answering my question, I think I gonna read the novel version instead now.

Japanese shojou mangas that is based from a novel usually a speed up. I also realize that this type of mangas usually have the same art style so maybe the artist or the publishing company were the same and maybe the novel authors turn their novels into manga to promote their novel and only use the manga as an advertisement to gather readers who are interested to buy their manga. Some of them also promote their work by turning them into anime.
Unlike korean manhwas which is based on novels, they mostly conclude all the details in the novels.

nasty how people are still being to mean to her when she was literally abused by every single member of her family. u would think they would at least pretend to care.

i feel like this author doesn’t care about the abuse until it can be used to gain her some pity points during scenes with the guys. any other time and it’s like they complete forgot about it. like when they spoke about how she grew up eating the same stuff as them. she very clearly did not are u a moron.
i love non-tan
the only couple i don’t support is the student-teacher one but looks like the teacher is a responsible adult so hopefully i won’t have to worry about that later ( ̄∇ ̄")
