And was everyone on it to make sure Adam didn't realise he didn't have days (weeks? months?) worth of memories? How do you not notice that time has passed, did I miss/forget something that could've give it away? I feel like even the readers were thrown into these lost memories all of a sudden

yes in these memories he has both blueish eyes but if you go back to chapter 23-24 you can see that the present Isaiah has a left eye that is completely black (blind? a prosthetic eye?) and they show it very well (suspiciously enough) right when Adam was asking if in the past he had suffered from loss of eyesight which is a side effect of the guiding amplifier that he takes! Then Isaiah replies that his memories were manipulated and erased by Eve and we know that Eve even made himself forget things, yet he dreams of Adam hanging himself and the shadow his *left* eye is shining.. so I'm guessing it's one of Eve's forgotten memories
