I guess I'm the only one who likes MC. Of course I don't like or would make his same choices, but we are an external reader who knows what happens... He's a traumatized vulnerable victim, who has been betrayed thousands of times by everyone because of his brother, as well as is completely isolated because of him. Doubt he still believes he can get his brothers affection back but he believes he can be freed or maybe he just wants to believe it to keep his sanity. Even if I don't agree with his actions I honestly feel bad for him and I can see where he's coming from.
The only two people he's around with, the brother and ML are the worst and smelliest pieces of shit alive, personally i would've probably killed myself by now but like comments say, I'm just as dramatic and pathetic as MC
Is it just me that is confused about the timeline?? I just wish it were more linear, I get it that its fun to see both povs and flashbacks but I find it so hard to follow. It seems a timeline more suitable in a visual form or even a light novel, but less for a webtoon with only a handful of panels, beautiful drawn though dont get me wrong... Especially since we read it once every 10 ten days, not even weekly, it would probably be easier and more fun to read it all at once
I'm actually enjoying this a lot i didn't even think the opinions in the comments were going to so polarizing... I think the story line is clear, simple and linear, not confusing at all despite the difficult subgenre of korean mythology but then again there is not much world building (yet) so if you cant even follow this you have poor comprehension skills and short attention span... wouldn't last a day reading political chinese novels or korean novels like Turning hahah
Both MC and ML look like genuinely good people, some would probably describe some scenes as dubcon but iML always stopped when he was asked to... I also think the "grooming" you guys are talking about its all in your heads, you clearly don't know what grooming is. Also I saw some MC hate and i think MC isn't as pathetic as people say he may be sensitive and a cry baby but honestly he has very good reasons to be so, and I think he also is able to stand up for himself at times (when he can obv, doubt he can physically/mentally stand against divine spirits lmao) so I don't think he only has weak and bad qualities...
haha i don't know what you guys expected this is exactly going like it was foreshadowed in the first chapters. Its not "ruined" or anything this is exactly how the story was going anyway...
I thought we all knew Jaemin was an emotionally manipulative yandere bastard he has been manipulating Taeyoon from the very start and he has always screamed red flag. If you thought he had "changed" or "was never like that" than you were manipulated too with a couple of cute dates haha that being said he said he didn't like Taeyoon but based on what they said during that movie chapter(s) it seems like Jaemin has some type of disorder and doesn't know/can't feel what love means, he only knows that he that he wants Jaemin but he probably already loves a lot... maybe way too much

If there is a thing I liked about this is how Haewon draws the line with Taeha in the last chapter... a clean and neat cut, not making him go inside and asking to stop contacting each other, without leading him on or give him any type of hope while still being such a terribly nice person. That being said he should also make (or force lmao) Yunoh sit down with him and set firm boundaries and labels (Yunoh desperately needs them) with him too since he (Haewon) apparently is the only one set to keep the relationship going

I feel like the story is so fast paced yet nothing significant is really happening like a recap of things that are happening without going too much into detail
The story is so so good. Its terribly underrated too this ahhh... I'm pleasantly surprised that it's not an adaption from a novel given the solid story development plan!! Very impressed by both the author and the artists since you can usually tell when a webtoon is an original story because the plot is all over the place, if there is one...
It might be an unpopular opinion but I'm kinda glad there is the usual unnecessary rape, if not for anything because it gives us a very good reason to dislike Lei. I feel like if it never happened we would have all already been manipulated by his pretty face ages ago. Readers always feel like they can forgive anything as long as the violence is not towards the romantic interest, like killing and torture other classmates and whatnot. The constant violence towards Jade reminds us that yeah, he is a monster and in general he is not a good person even if he acts sweet sometimes. It might be because he does not how to contain or express his emotions, but its definitely not so easily forgivable and we should hate/be wary of him like Jade is.
