I was wondering what exactly about the mc was rubbing me the wrong way and I think
I've figured it out with the script reading in ch 4.
As far as we've been shown he's been failing in his career because he's just not that good and not because of his peers stealing roles or purpose sabotage.
This is proven with him still being able to convince his agent that he wanted the youth train audition and the only push back from said agent was a confidence check.
So now him getting this power that makes him understand his characters in minutes and remembering the full script yet have him running his mouth (it's just thoughts tbh but still) about his co-stars not understanding the deeper meaning and, with that somehow making them less than him is kinda pissing me off.
Is he right that blondy didn't get the script and later is a total ass about it and he owes him no humility whatsoever? Yes.
My issue is that in this situation his thoughts give a sense of superiority he did not earn.
And before y'all explain the whole plot of this story, I don't need him to struggle or anything, what I needed was for him to enjoy his power and just push on with his succes.
But you could also argue that's what makes him a nuanced character, not everyone should be neutral good etc. and, you'd be right to a certain point.
I guess I just don't like mc's with that character or I just don't like this mc specifically.

Well, he is a hypocrite nothing to deny about that. But he is also written to be human, he can't not have flaws. And like you said, he's no goody-two-shoes.
Also, the dialogue going from Ch1 to Ch4 builds it for like this for me: He had low self-esteem initially as actor that can't get supporting and lead roles. He "looks-up" to them in a way despite being treated like rubbish and looked down upon and it's not admiration but envy and ambition. His thoughts running all over in Ch4 comes more to me as disappointment rather than someone in their high horses, because blondy there always acted so high and mighty with him, keeps getting lead roles, yet does poorly for the first project they're both in.
Of course, there are nuances as to why and how in the novel, it's more detailed there apparently. But I guess what missed in this adaptation is the buildup on the relationship between blondy and Jae-hee, as it also makes more sense there. Likely there will be a few more missing details in the future though hopefully not. I actually like the direction, promise and possibilities of Jae-hee's character.
I see what you see and I get it truly but the fact that while reading this ,every time you had a good point that expresses why he could possibly act a certain way, my first instinct was to say "but" makes me think I'll never like him for whatever reason and I should just leave this be.

I was really annoyed when I caught on this shit romance. But seeing the comments agreed with them shipping, really left me baffled.
Just like you said, eventho she’s looks like pre-teen, people keep saying “yeah but each women built differently.” Okay let’s agree to disagree on that.
Then another comment said “y’all forget she is a dragon and she’s around 100-200yo, definitely not a child.”
I was like, dude did you only let your dog/cat breed when they are 20yo eventho their life expectancy is around 9-12? If dragon can live up to 3.000, then 200 is definitely a kid.
Then my last straw was when the coming-of-age ceremony arc. Daaaamn. It means she’s barely 17-18 (in modern time, as this manhwa was set in historical, I’m afraid coming-of-age could be 15-16).
Let’s say she’s 18 by human age, still the author shipped them even before that.

The girl only spent her childhood on her mother’s prison-lair. The whole clan hate the mother. The mother died. The MC come to the rescue. A kid who lost everything meet a much older man who kind and make her feel less lonely, introduce the world to her and be with her until coming-of-age. When this relationship turns into romance then.. if it’s not grooming, I don’t know what is.
I mean, if the only opposites gender you get to know normally (like neutral disposition; beside your family) is only one person, can we really called it love? Or is it dependency towards a first adult that helps her survive that accidentally an opposite gender?
