I'm curious to why people actually hate yahwi. Like. Is there a reason or just because. I get you have a fav. Good for you. But what you have with that man. He had his redemption arc and is actually a good person. And yeah redemption arcs don't always mean they're forgiven but saying you hate on him and can't forgive him but not having the same attitude towards taeju from waterside night for example is pretty unfair and shows some hypocrisy. I love both of them and I believe in change. I also really like Cain but not for jooin. His only personality trait would have been dating jooin if they stayed together. They don't have any chemistry and the reason he likes him are superficial. His past self isn't his new self anymore. This is a different person. I really hope to see a side story for Cain and also wouldn't mind one for jooin and yahwi somewhere in the future.

You can reread chapter 7 if you don’t remember what Yahwi did. And it’s not only about the dubious consent, but also because he was violent (slapping Jooin and always yelling at him), arrogant, let Jooin suffer because of rumors which involved him too and he was a very selfish character until almost the end. Even in his supposed redemption arc he still wanted Jooin to suffer and also asked Jooin to stay with him, not caring if it was out of pity. Yahwi changed a bit in the time skip but it wasn’t enough and very rushed.
Also, you shouldn’t compare another character, who is from another story, with Yahwi because they’re in completely different situations and stories, but if you want to compare them let me tell you that they’re both toxic and their behavior shouldn’t be excused.

Even tho jooin never called him on it and didn't have a problem with it I agree it's in no way something acceptable. But the part about him being selfish and arrogant I think it's a bit of overreaction tbh. I don't remember yahwi acting like that after his redemption arc. He didn't want jooin to suffer. And he was going through things. Whatever that was he was going through. At the beginning he was a total ass but throughout the story I actually got to like him and i don't think he's anywhere near and he's actually a nice person now. I'm comparing them even tho they're in different situations because both of them did very bad things cuz they were going through things and had their redemption arcs. I also think the word toxic is getting tossed around too much in here and it starts to lose its true meaning and value. Their behaviour shouldn't be excused and they were not. Not everyone hates him. Personally I don't take either side. What I found irritating about him isn't even 100% about him. Before he even realized he was being a shit person, anyone who said he was a shit person, his fan club went crazy about it. He sexually assaulted Jooin, physically and emotionally abused him, toyed with him and then we see some sad story about his parents dying and that makes his behavior excusable? Then his redemption is that he walks away for awhile and comes back "a better person" Which okay, sure, but before Jooin even takes a breath to maybe get to know him again and assure himself that he's changed, they're in the bed saying they love each other. It's not the character, its's the writing and I think a lot of people don't know how to say that so it comes out that they hate the character.
And Taeju is a POS too, but he is admitting he is a POS while showing changed behavior. Not to mention he is taking action to undo the bs that he has caused, and Euiyoung is treading lightly while he decides if he is going to take him seriously. That story has not finished yet, where we actually have seen how this one ends up. So that is not a fair comparison.

I actually liked the ending( to my amazement). Been here from the start and I'm glad it finally ended. This whole experience was just draining. Can't say I liked the characters.
