I ABSOLUTELY love how his sister reacted to him coming out. The whole conversation is on point. It is always your choice to come out or not. You don't have to if you don't want to. And there is ABSOLUTELY no need to apologize for who you are and for liking the same gender. This makes me want to compile a list of manga that has great insights and speeches for LGBTQ+.
Okay it's not perfect. There were definitely things I didn't like: the ambiguous sexual relationship bet "father and son", the lack of preparation and disregard of actual sexual consent, and the missing detailed sex scenes. But OH. MY. GOD! The parts when they were both contemplating and confessing about their feelings about one another really got me. The struggle, the confusion, the loneliness. the hesitation to plunge and take the risk, the longing, and the HEARTACHE!!! AHUHUHUHU. I can't remember when was the last time that a manga depicted so perfectly the emotional turmoil of falling and being in love. Especially for two people who are so used to only having themselves to rely on. And I also liked the fact that this manga didn't particularly focus on the struggles of being gay. It just showed the struggles we all have when in love no matter what gender we identify with. I love it. That was beautiful. Thank you sensei. Now I shall go back to being miserably single. Gawd I need a love life!
