Well that certainly didn't look like a proper ending but these chapters uploaded here are up to date with the JP side. I took a peek at the author's twitter and they seemed to move on from this story (they made a new comic). Couldn't find the reasoning though (not gonna look through their 16k tweets and over 1k photos) so I'd say don't get your hopes up for a continuation
Oofff that sucks
First of all, that only applies for people UNDER THE AGE OF 18, and people can and do still go to jail if the prosecutor deems them having intercourse with someone of an inappropriate age. Second of all, that is a NATIONAL law and PREFECTURES HAVE THE RIGHT TO CHANGE IT for their area. And they do for the most part. The only ones that don't are the ones that want to keep a "low crime rate" which is stupid but doesn't reflect the majority of the country. Legal efforts on r@pe crime prevention and help may be awful in the country (it is) but it doesn't mean that there are none or that they're as bad as a lot of westerners see it as. Seems like some people have been consuming nsfw anime/manga at an age where one may not be able to distinguish between fiction and reality....Just because there's a lot of nsfw material online doesn't mean that's reflected in their society and normal culture.
Not sure what countries you all are from but in health class they must have taught you the laws on age of consent and it is not solely 18 and under is not allowed. There are exceptions depending on the age gap and it's the same in Japan (the exceptions based on age gap part I mean, not the actual "if the person is X years old and their partner is Y years old that is ok" part).
I haven't read the raws yet (easy google search of the JP name, however most of them are on apps) but based on the chapters so far, the girl they saw in the restaurant is most likely the same as the girl that the new part timer said "only contacts you when things aren't going well with their boyfriend". she is also most likely to be the new girl that wants to join yamada and co.'s guild because of the fact both of them are lowkey guilt-tripping both the parttimer (ch 44 when the girl says "i cant say this to anyone besides you") and akane (ch 45 when she was trying to get akane to agree that it's sad and lonely to not play with her bf when they play the same game. if it was one question then there wouldnt be a problem but she kept pushing it and its evident that it was hard for akane to disagree even though she didnt agree). also the way she was messaging yamada "like crazy" as eita says in ch 45 is very sus, expecting him to respond to her quickly for a game, especially considering the fact she knows that the two of them are dating (and later in the same chapter she says its sad he doesnt play with akane. if he doesnt even play with his girlfriend (though we know its because they prefer that) why do you think he'll play with you instead of spend time with her?). the girl in the restaurant was also very clingy towards the "boyfriend", looking into his phone and accusing him of cheating. the clinginess and making people feel bad about not responding to her demands is similar in both and incredibly dangerous.
while i dont think its right to act hostile at first like eita said, i do think its a good idea for yamada to join or at least watch from a distance since she shows big red flags (if we ignore all the stuff yamada didnt know like the parttimer side and that she is the restaurant girl, akane already told him about the lonely incident which is pretty concerning in itself).
