It's also rare to see that trauma can never really go away in an instant once you find a good catch. It WILL haunt you at the most unexpected moments, even after Sig has confessed his love and proposed, and also boosted Clarisse confidence, the evil voices and images still don't go away.

Yo I'm fucking done with the story at this point. I've been dissing that idiotic emperor from the start and the story just progresses exactly into the direction I absolutely loathe. I'll come back when Shushu and the ducal family live happily forever without that Emperor's sorry ass.
But we have clearly seen it wasn't the Emperor or Crown Prince's fault entirely. They have been searching for the child, was lied to about the gender of the child, manipulated even in the first timeline. They deserve closure. The fact you are too blind to see it is a big disappointment that you have no compassion. Just because we saw they were horrible through Shu's eyes, means nothing until their side of story was revealed and made sense why things happened the way it did. I feel bad for both sides because nobody deserved this.
I'll admit, the way the Emperor is going about it to make things known about his daughter being his is the wrong way to go about but I can see it's also desperation to make things right and protect her properly this time from the Empress and her child who isn't biologically his at all.
I didn't say anything about the fact that the abuse is only from Shuelina's POV and that it didn't happen IRL.
