Ok so I looked back on it and they're mother died first after the divorce, but before she died she gave birth to hanhoo while Starr was with the dad who also died of shock after hearing about the moms death. so yeah I'm not sure I explained this well or accurately but I tried my best

Looking back on this the pacing for the manga was insane like, they had the right materials (the cat shop set-up, two broken hearted MC's etc etc) that could've been expanded on so much but no lets make the characters fuck under dubious circumstances in first chapter
