I'm writing this first so if anyone replies, it doesn't show what I've written for the spoiler. I was intrigued with this story. I supported the throuple if it went that way. Wanted to see how they'd write the bond between them. I don't like the younger brother. Don't really like either brother but the younger one more so. I get it. I feel bad for him, but I don't like him. He's just not the kind of character I like.
Both chapters are trigger warned with "Dubious Consent." Chapter 18 is dubious but by chapter 19, the kid ends up fully raping the guide (who's recovering from just being shot). He says, "No..." "Stop..." "Take it out..." and the kid refuses to stop. Instead he thanks the guide, saying how it's okay because he's going to fall for him eventually.

I'm glad to see your comment because I was really wondering after seeing the comments, why people were just glassing over the fact he was assaulted and making it okay, I really dislike mangas, when they get like this, they didn't portray it to be nonconsensual, fully when it started since he listened to him so much. Now, I just dislike the whole thing. It's one thing if it was like a dark, sad story, but that's not what they're given. Im dropping this.
I don't blame you. I'll likely drop it as well. The younger brother is written as an mindless, impulsive idiot with a disruptive child's level of accountability. Now the older brother, who had SA charges pressed to the younger, is going to manipulate/use coercion to get the mc to sleep with him. It makes him gross too. I have been really disappointed the story took this turn, but these rapey stories get the most sales so creators are making more of them. If you aren't already, try Our Sunny Days. So wholesome and good. No SA whatsoever...
I love Our sunny days. And yes grape does come up in a lot but ones like these that clearly show the plot isnt going to be anything to keep you is just trash. And thanks for letting me know ahead of time. I felt the younger brother was just an immature child that I did not fine loveable as they were trying to portray. And the older gave me keep you captive vibe. Overall the story felt like trash but I was reading to see if it would develop. Clearly it will not lol
I completely agree. Something like "A Night to Remember," "Ouroboros," "MADK," or "Haunted by Desire".... how the trauma was used makes sense. How the characters and the plot developed around it was really well done. This story? I'm sad I was buying it on Tappytoon. I want my points back! Lol... And I know it's kinda petty at this point, but their uniforms.... did you find them ugly too?? I had a feeling the story wasn't going to be good after seeing the character designs and the uniform. That ginormous flap over the front buttons.... yeah. I'm gonna drop this lol
I've only read haunted by desire. But now I'm going to read madk and a night to remember. So thank you lol. But yes like it was at least pivotal to the story. What are like a trauma to get over or something to develop by. And that's what I need to have a good story. Yes, I did not care for the uniforms, and I know when it comes to Manga, different kinds of artists. So different strokes for different folks and I can ignore what art look like if the story is good. And since the story wasn't good, I didn't care for the art, it was just both blah. But I got 2 new mangas to look at so thank you.

I haven't read another story with a similar plot. As for MADK... I have all 3 volumes on my bookshelf. I purposefully haven't read the last couple chapters because I refuse to accept the story has ended. Lol

I'm getting Ouroboros vibes. I like that they have put their .... back in their pants and are giving Jihyuk a safe place to finally confront his trauma. I'd be okay with an ambiguous ending. I just want Jihyuk to get better.

I really enjoyed this story. Perfect? No... but a happy, fluffy story about healing is always welcomed. I think the last chapter does a great job of wrapping things up and clearing up the point of the story. Haekyeong, who was suffering because of his one-sided crush on a parasite, is able to heal & grow mentally, emotionally, and professionally through an unfair love affair with Kwonlim.
