Yeah, confusion is a human mistake, after all... Like how just now, Yeo confused "rejecting him" with "being a cold bitch to him", too. ...But everyone can make a mistake, right?
...Sorry, just trying to make a point. I think his attitude is not harmless not only because he's a grown-up man who should already know better, but because he was her superior at the office, which means his verbal abusement wasn't just mysogyny, but also an abuse of power. Guys like that, so blind to their situations they themselves generate, and to everything around them, need a wake up call to realize the consequences of the way they treat others.

When he finally opens up about his true feelings and is in the process of proposing to her, she cuts his soul to ribbons by telling him she'd let him drown in order to save an empty pop can.
Yeah, sorry, but you failed to make your point.

Do you think women's mission in life is to act the part of the psychologist or the all-understanding mother to every asshole they meet in their life? We're not talking about a child, we're talking about a 40-year-old man, which means he's at least 10 years older than the protagonist (since this is her first job). Even the way he "proposed" was insulting: he didn't ask her if she liked him back, he just assumed that she did. And even though he publicly humiliated *her* many times over, *he* was saved from the embarrassment of others seeing him get humiliated by *her*. That's just as much "compassion" he deserves.

I love Japanese art, stories, clothes, shrines, the people, even their politics, but for some reason Japanese food is one of my least favorites.
I adore Indian, Ethiopian, Chinese (especially Sichuan), Italian, Thai, etc...
So it's not like I'm picky. But whenever I had to eat at the home of a friend whose mom is Japanese, I dreaded it.

    ザラ July 10, 2017 4:40 pm

Some Ramen is OK, but I always like the Americanized version better than the traditional bowls because Japanese versions always seem to add something that ruins the whole dish.
I call it the "one ingredient too many" principle; I'll be on board with a Japanese food until they add a final ingredient to it (usually something really fishy or moldy tasting) that ruins it for me.
And have you ever had natto? OMG! To me the taste, the consistency, AND the appearance are all so yucky I honestly can't figure out how anyone likes it, but like you wrote, we all have different tastes, which keeps life interesting.

Me thinks blue dolphin is going to end up with his trainer, who will give Mokhwa a great job as a thank you for getting him back with his beloved dolphin.
Once Mokhwa is employed, but alone, pink dolphin will swoop in and reveal that he is not actually a complete ass, but an OK dolphin/man/fairy who was only being a jerk because he had a lot of anger toward humans, which is understandable considering his history.

    Everanon July 10, 2017 3:20 pm

I also wish Changgyeong the blue dolphin doesnt end up with Mokhwa for reasons i cant really say, they just dont appeal to me. But the cover doesnt seem like Changgyeong tho, looks like trainer has his own love interest. Aaand the thing about yaoi is usually mc and 2nd lead will surely end up together unless it's tagged tragedy..no matter how unsuitable they are *sigh*

I think they save tragedy tags for when characters either die or end up alone.
If blue dolphin and Mokhwa both end up with someone, even if it's not each other, I'm guessing that would still count as a happy ending, I think...
I agree with you that blue dolphin just doesn't seem like the right fit for Mokhwa.
The other day I was also wondering if Mokhwa was going to end up turning into a dolphin. He seems kind of unhappy as a human, so if given the chance to swim, eat fish, and have sex all day, I'm betting he'd take it. The question then is will he turn into a pink or blue dolphin.

    Everanon July 11, 2017 4:22 am

Ooh wait, is there any difference between pink or blue dolphin? I thought it was just Rino or Changgyeong and dont have anymore meaning

I have trouble remembering their names so I think of Rino as the pink dolphin because I believe he's a pink river dolphin, while Changyeong is just a regular blue bottle-nose dolphin.
Sorry if it was confusing; it was just how I kept them separate in my head.

Yeah.. it doesn't seem likely that the story will go back to the first couple. It definitely feels like orange hair is the actual main character bc he's the one that interacts with all the characters and knows everything that's going on. Like the first couple has no idea he has a lover, the lover hasn't (so far) met the first couple and so on.

I really don't like the idea of dead snake powder as an aphrodisiac, even in a fictional story.
Now if it had been ground up Viagra, that would have made more sense, as well as being more ethical.

    wahrheit_freiheit July 8, 2017 5:31 am

Ok, but think about this: there's no way they are going to sell some food with a viagra topping on a family friendly environment (and what kind of flavor would that give? yickes) and the snake being and aphrodisiac is more like a myth hence why they are selling it there. Selling dead animals like that is nothing out of the ordinary. It's just something cultural.

    Errant Belle July 8, 2017 7:27 pm

    "It's just something cultural."
So are human slavery, female genital mutilation, honor killings, burning widows alive, and a whole bunch of other sick and destructive practices.
Just being a part of culture does not make something good or right.
China's love of animal parts as folk cures is driving some animals into extinction.
So, No! I don't have to like or accept that this artist both portrays this practice and reinforces the misconception that it actually works.
Some parts of culture can be amazing, but other parts like this are straight up wrong.

Lol what you just said are not even related to the topic you started.... and as for my opinion...human eats animal meats everyday and using a dead snake as aphrodiastic doesnt make much of a different for me...... NekoNeko

Eating meat as sustenance is very different than killing an animal to use as a "medicine" that doesn't even work.
There is also a massive difference between consuming animals which have been specifically domesticated and raised to be consumed versus removing them from the wild, which is the problem that is driving species out of existence.
Maybe you can't see the difference between slaughtering rhinos for their horns to use as some BS "cure" for impotency and eating a burger, but I can.
Moreover, I have a much bigger problem with the former than the latter.
It's kind of sad and scary that you would think they are equivalent...

    wahrheit_freiheit July 10, 2017 2:56 am

We are not stupid, we can tell the difference between the slaughter of an endangered animal and killing animals that are for food or medicine. Maybe this particular case is not so weird for me because where I live there are a lot of snakes and we eat them, use them for medicine and use their skins. Must be the same in places where snakes usually live and they are not even close to get endangered because snake meat is not as popular as the others and as i have read on this chapter, is the same in Japan. Maybe where you live there are no snakes and you think they are rare or something. Just chill, is a manga about a cop and a yakusa fucking.
