I'm guessing part of the reason this is getting so many negative comments is that it has a "yaoi" tag when it absolutely should not.
This story is straight up shotacon, which many people (myself included) find sickening.
Unfortunately, many yaoi fans who check for recent updates probably end up here expecting a story about a relationship between consenting adults.
When they instead get a story about a pedophile grooming and raping a child, they are understandably upset.
And what is wrong with that?
Why does everyone expect the comments to be full of nothing but praise?
As I understand it, comments are an opportunity for readers to share their feelings about the story, both good and bad.
So for all the people complaining about how other people shouldn't read the story or leave negative comments if they don't like shotacon...
Take your own advice!
Don't read the comments if you don't like hearing peoples' honest opinions and don't trash other readers just because they have a problem with what basically amounts to child pornography.

You are trashing other readers just because they have NO 'problem with what basically amounts to child pornography'. Context clues (the cover, the title, and the author) made me realize that this might not be the healthiest manga to read. Also the comments really clued me in. SO why are you so surprised at the manga or angry over the tags?

You either didn't read or didn't understand my comment.
I was quite clear about how someone might find their way to this manga without realizing that it wasn't yaoi.
I also explained, in great detail, that my problem was with the hypocrisy of those individuals who didn't like negative comments.
Sorry if what I wrote was too far over your head for you to grasp it.

People make a big deal about weight and body image when it comes to this artist because it is a big deal.
Being overweight is unhealthy and so is being underweight.
At the same time, feeling bad about your body, or worse yet, making someone else feel bad about their body, can damage emotional health.
We all need to find that happy place where we're proud of who we are inside and out, which is no easy task.

As best I can tell this story is half soap opera and half professional baseball.
So even though I'm really trying to get into this story and follow all the details, I almost think you have to be a baseball fan to fully appreciate it.
What I would love more than reading this manga is watching a professional baseball player read it.
I'm betting their reaction would be hilarious.

At 1st I wanted Kenshiro and Aya-chan's team to win, but now I'm not so sure.
I mean, if Nijihiko is willing to sacrifice his arm and can never play again, I feel like he deserves the win more.

Really? That's actually why I don't want them to win. I don't like the fact that Taka is letting him lose his arm to win koushein for him. He should stop him.

I don't think just saying it is enough though. He should force him to stop if he really cares about him. Besides, the only reason he's so hellbent on going through with it is because he wants taka to be his boyfriend. Therefore, taka is the only one who can really stop him.

IDK, he's basically an adult and very strong willed.
Realistically, the person who should be stopping him is the doctor.
In the real world his coach should step in too.
Nevertheless, in the story he is willing to sacrifice his arm for Taka and the game, which makes it seem like his team should win.
I suppose we'll find out eventually...

I agree. Realistically, the doctor and coach should stop him and there would be nothing he can do about it because the coach has the final say. But regardless of whether nijihiko deserves to win or not, I just really don't want nijihiko's and taka's relationship to come at the expense of his arm. But you're right. We'll find out eventually... hopefully soon...

Once he started going on about how he wanted to be killed and eaten, this story went from super sweet to super weird in one panel.
For some reason I never thought of cannibalism as romantic, but I guess it depends on how you look at it.
It kind of reminded me of the Shoowa one shot, "I will be with you Forever"

i didn't find it weird.. well because when he said he wanted to be eaten, my brains already working out a nice position so I kinda ignored the rest about "cells" lol

Now I know that if men are about to get violent, you just offer the first one who walks away a blow job and all will be well.

hahaha pretty much the way that works
Someone needs to publish this as a hardcover book because I would definitely want a copy for me, plus a few extras for all my yaoi loving friends
