It hard to judge a story when the translation isn't done well. This was by no means the worse translation I've ever read, but it was rough, which made the stories themselves harder to enjoy.
I like this story, but wish it had shown more about how their relationship started. It sort of just started and we missed all the build up between the two characters.
Put another way, anticipation is the best part of a relationship and we missed all of that.

Seriously, if that's Chiharu's idea of love, Yuu should run far and fast.
They should come up with a way to tag DJs that lets people know whether or not you need to read the original to follow their plots. That way people wouldn't miss out on great stories just because they weren't familiar with the series the characters were borrowed from. In this case, the story was surprisingly sweet and you don't need to know anything about Gintama to enjoy it, but I'm guessing a lot of people who would like the story will pass it by because of the Gintama DJ title.
I would gladly pay to own an X-rated version of this story if only Kuneida Saika would just draw it.
