A lot of comments here are about how sad this chapter is, but I think Ryou's loud heartbeats and blushing are a good sign.
I believe he's already imagining what it would be like to be with Hayato, which is why he's so flustered.
Consequently, I'm hoping that very soon Masato and Ken-ni will go away with Take on some photo shoot or something, which will leave Hayato and Ryou alone to sort out their feelings. At which point I also hope our patience will be rewarded with a super explicit and extra long love scene between the two step brothers.

I honestly don't understand why so many claim this chapter to be ''really sad''. As you said, I think the look on Ryou's face on the last page means he's contemplating the possibility of a relationship with Hayato. Also, pining for someone only to discover they had feelings for you all along and then starting a relationship is a common trope in yaoi. That would mean 80% of yaoi mangas are sad.

What makes this manga so amazing is that I really believe they are in love, not in spite of, but because of all the sickness they struggle with.
It's such a refreshing change from the "Disney" brand of love in which only super perfect people end up finding super perfect love.
Happily ever after...blech!.
The more I read this, the more I realize true love is actually about embracing the imperfections of others and fighting one's own demons.

As someone who wears glasses, it cracks me up every time I see a manga scene drawn with people keeping their glasses on to have sex.
There they are in the new chapter getting all hot and heavy, but he keeps his glasses on and they never fog up or move.
That is sooo silly!

I'm extremely careful with my glasses because they're so expensive and crucial to my daily life. Before sex or showering or sleeping, I need to know that my glasses are safe and sound on a flat surface FAR away from any ledges, edges, and the floor. Nemugasa gives me anxiety when he keeps them on so recklessly like that.

After reading this comment I won't be able to feel comfortable anymore when reading manga with guys with glasses haha

I never understood how that happens. I'm fresh out of my teens, turning 21 on the 30th. But as a teen, I was always so careful with my glasses and phone. This kid in high school stole my glasses while I took a nap during a free period. I literally chased him down and threatened him with death if he touched them again.

Reading this was moving enough that I was crying a lot, even though in the end it was uplifting.
I give this mangaka a lot of credit for creating stories that are deeply moving and also come across as genuine. I really believe relationships like this exist and appreciate them more because while real life can be messy and painful, that doesn't mean it can't have a happy ending.
Hiroi acts generous, but he's really profoundly selfish.
I kind of hope the series goes on until Take finally realizes Hiroi has only ever used and manipulated him because the only person Hiroi loves is obviously Hiroi.
As far as Mine is concerned, I simply hope he realizes he has value and deserves to be cared for by someone who truly respects him.
Yes.... I agree!!!!!!(๑•ㅂ•)و✧
