so you guys have a problem with dark skinned slaves but not if the slaves is fair skinned??
?? ive seen plenty! across different genres and tropes. ive also read multiple slavexmaster tropes. half of it is interacial and the fair skinned one is the slave. ive never read anyone crying racism in there ┐( ˘_˘)┌
im calling this whole thing BS until i find a similar manga with fair skinned slave and someone comments there that its racist.
and for the record, thats one well treated slave. the author absolutely loved Anise thats for sure
That's cherry picking. I have come across way too many books here about slavery, darker skinned slaves are a vast MINORITY. You never see this type of outrage in those other mangas when they're lighter skinned, even enters the point of even fetishizing the poor man. Ofc it's because, its a trend to defend the marginalized communities that's NON existent here. Too many kids nowadays parroting the word the adults use, just to feel intellectual and make themselves make feel like there are adding onto a cost. It's fake outrage
Would do you mean by Non existent here?? I mean people from all over are on this website so I feel like thats a weird thing to say. And the amount of stories thats have darker skinned slaves compared to pale skinned isn’t really relevant here tbh. How does it make this story less racist , that is what people are asking.
I think what you missing here, is the fact that the author is of this world, the same as ours, has lived, seen and learnt of history as people, of people as a whole, specifically of black peope, they’d know something…and quite often some people knowingly or not, seem to portray darkskin people regardless of race, as the undesired, unfortunate, savage slaves etc, it implies a lot more than just slavery and master relationship, but also racism, emphasis on racism here… it’s not the first times we’ve seen shit like this, it’s at a point where we can’t just mindlessly read stuff like this because we come across it too often, and it’s always portrayed in the same way, you can’t just ignore this bitter aftertaste each time you take a bite the same way you can’t ignore what is implied each time you read stories that tread in this territory.
And I’m not saying stories like this shouldn’t be made, but the author has to be careful of what they’re intending to put into the story so that it’s received in a way where readers won’t have arguments such as these, because this isn’t simply just analysing a book, it’s showing the true colours of the author and also the readers too.
And what you’re basically admitting is that there is something wrong here, but you dismiss because “if it was a light skinned person”, what???, why are we talking hypotheticals here? You have a problem? Please speak up about how ur uncomfortable with certain themes, and why you feel that way.
Here we can clearly see, what type of relationship it is, the loopholes of this story and the weirdness of it…the dark skinned dude even refers himself as a slave, and we know in what way too, and he loses himself to his former oppressors, just become of a hug? Tf?? Somehow he’s able to withstand the fact that he’s serving a nation that turned on his people, somehow he forgets that his own people were oppressed too….umm what?
just finished binge reading. so how could they kill her off after finding out her powers in her past life? her manifesting powers from another ducal family means shes still a young duchess, and from a family with no existing heir at that. that had to have smelled like the start of war yknow? i cant believe the duke of perdia would be so thoughtless and arrogant as to kill off the only heiress to the severes and expected no retaliation on his way. with what excuse would he offer?
A small spoiler that doesn't give away the story is that the "novel" contents are to be taken with a grain of salt. There's lies mixed in, like the family killing her when learning she isn't their blood, is false. The Duke knew the entire time whose daughter she really was, I'm pretty sure the Duchess was aware as well to some point. There were mild hints here and there for that part.
In her first life she dies, her mom then send her to korea where she also died and come back into the world of her first life this time. She is the savior so she needs to live and fight the evil god. Her mom can see the future so she made some arrangements so that she doesn't die and Ian is helping in protecting her since he also remember the first life
Villainess should get her own story where she goes back in time, realizes how pitiful she is and ditches the ML and her whole family then get together with the police guy or something
hear me out: shes obviously abused by her own father. the real culprit is the dad. Her actions are no doubt inexcusable but her past leaves space for some compassion
"Marrying him is the reason i exist" sounds tragic dont you guys think?
shes also pretty, i hope she dies and realizes how pitiful she is on her deathbed

that identical mole. even i would probably keep thinking of his asshole every single time i see his mouth
