I know there are many people asking questions left unanswered even on other forums, so here I go :
Back in high-school, baseball player Sasaki Eiji was betrayed by Arisugawa, a teammate (the pitcher) Eiji protected from being beaten up by another school's players who caught him shop-lifting. So the forced dismantlement of the team was all unjustly blamed on him. Being morever a Yakuza's son, and quickly judged, he developed a raging resentment and strong anger issues, that lead him to violent fights, then taking it out randomly on Orii, our MC, by raping him.
After their re-encounter, and being now his caretaker, Orii is the helpless witness to a self-destructive and violent Sasaki, who's still haunted by the past and can't move forward, not control his rage outbursts.
The scene in the taxi, where Sasaki keeps saying "Sorry, Hiro..." (the guy working at the bar, who called Orii), he's actually simply continuing the conversation they had at the bar before he was too wasted to be coherent (so NOT a lover).
And the scene with the girl : must have been a one-night-stand, maybe weeks ago, and he didn't remember her (so NO connection with the job application).
It's an open-ending, and seeing the patience and endurance of Orii, plus the fact that his access of abuse occur more rarely now (they still happen of course), there might be hope for him. At least I decide to think there is.
I hope someone will find it useful :))

It's such a masterpiece, I bought every remaining chapter on Lezhin... First time buyer! :)))))

Amazing is the word! and it's a mystery for me as well (the 8.7 stars). I mean, almost every other manga I read before pales in comparison ; it's so realist, heartbreaking, touches so many important issues, the pace is perfect ; moreover, something really rare : we follow the perspective of everyone (not just one or both the MCs).

I took the liberty to copy and paste an AWESOME review I read (because I want to link it to one of my lists). It's originally a reply written by kyouran, member on mangago.
" Trust me when I say that I feel you, wholeheartedly, but I don't hate the Manhwa, I actually love it, and that is exactly why the whole Mookyul/President thing torments me. I love both Mookyu'ls and Euwon's character, precisely because they are not one-dimensional because they are both complicated and emotionally damaged, and most likely will never overcome many of their issues.
The scene where Euwon confronts Mookyul regarding his relationship with the President is probably one of the most emotionally charged scenes I have ever read in Yaoi. It is electrifying, and it made me love and respect Euwon immensely. I love how he confronted Mookyul and I love how he walks away. This is the scene that still gives me goosebumps, no matter how many times I read it, and I have read it hundreds of times!

I also kind of disagree regarding Euwon easily forgiving Mookyul. Relative to time, it may have been just a month or weeks, but Euwon paid Mookyul back in the worst possible way by sleeping with other people, and even worst, by sleeping with his best friend; and the reason why that was the worst punishment is because Mookyul has to be one of the (if not the most) Jealous Possessive lover in the history of Yaoi, compounded by the fact that Euwon is really the first and only person Mookyul has really ever loved, so his possessiveness is intensified by this fact, his fear-based obsession in losing the only human being he has ever loved. In his specific case, it would have been less painful if Euwon would have made him wait a year, but remaining celibate; but instead, he really tore Mookyul's heart out and stomped on it by sleeping around, tormenting Mookyul to the brink of insanity knowing that his Fox Jung had slept/and was probably sleeping with other men, and worst, with Moon, because he knew that Euwon cared for his best friend. It hurt me that Euwon went on that spiral of self-destructiveness, but I was also kind of glad he did it, that he made Mookyul suffer.
Also, there is real pathos in Mookyul's feelings and relationship with the Pres. Mookyul was an orphan in the streets and the President was the first human being (after child Euwon) that had treated him with kindness, that is why he felt genuine gratitude and loyalty for the old man. Also, since the old man took him so young, Mookyul didn't really have any sexual experience, so whatever warped idea of sex he had, he learned from the Pres, this is the reason why he was able to rationalize his relationship with the old man, because he really thought he was doing the right thing, even though deep down he knew there was something wrong. The moral responsibility lay with the old man, who obviously spat on all sense of decency by taking advantage of a little orphan. The exact reason why I hate the president with the intensity of a thousand hells.
The very last manga, the final one with Euwon's little sister, shows us just how very emotionally damaged both Mookyul and Euwon still are, and most likely will always be, but that despite all those emotional issues they really love each other, and that in fact, for the two of them, there can never be anyone else but the two of them, because they elevate each other. Anyways, that is a small part of my literary analysis of their story and relationship, and I understand exactly why people were put off by Mookyul's cheating with the Pres, because I feel the same way, but despite all that, I recognized that it ended up serving as a complex and dramatical element of the plot, and I was able to appreciate their love for each other, the struggles they went through and where they ended up, emotionally, at the end of it all :) "

I feel like i'm the only one who finds Xu Shang frigging irritating... the way he's acting all revolted while blushing, I just couldn't stand a person like that as a friend or lover.

Agreed. Sure he's looks cute or handsome but he contradicts himself a lot. It gets to the point that it becomes annoying.
This might be a bit of a stretch but I keep getting some rape-y vibes there..
It feels like he keeps feeding the rape mentality which is "If a girl says 'no', it means 'yes'" which just irritates me.
As much as I like the characters, I do not agree with that train of thought.
I just want to read an enjoyable not rape-y Shounen-ai manga.

I absolutely agree with you on the rapey vibes. It reminded me of this manga:
http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/k_sensei_no_yajuu_na_aijou/
where the uke NEVER consented, albeit he seemed pretty happy to be forced into having sex with the seme.

I can believe I didn't like it the first time I read it... It's real good.

Yeah... I'm liking this couple more and more...
You know who nanao reminds me of? No the same, but I did ache for both. Takayuki from http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/owaranai_fukou_ni_tsuite_no_hanashi/.

Whoa, Katsura is just a selfish spoiled brat through and through. I couldn't finish the story, having a really hard time empathizing with ukes acting like little princesses.

Yes, I hate this kind of charactor the most. No self-confidence, keep relying on other(even in the end he seems to try to overcome by himself but he's still just too weak compare to others) always make people worry for him. He really cant do anything alone. He is a guy you know? how could he be this weak? I gave up on Shoujo because of this type of heroines. It doesn't make sense at all that people keeps on coming to him and he even got to be vice captain. There are a bunch of other members in the club suit to be than him.
I bear to finish the story because I hope to see the best friend and the aniki got themselves lovers but it even had one more charactor to fall for the uke. Honestly, it annoyed me to boot.

Agreed! I liked the friend too, but reading the people commenting they hoped to someday read a sequel about him just brought closure (lol), so the first chapter and a half was enough.
And yeah, it's so surrealist to see a guy act so... urgh! Does this really exist? It isn't sexy or attractive, makes one want to scream in his face "Who do you think you are, step down from your throne !!!".
It seems it's kind of many fujoshis' fantasies to have everyone fall madly in love with capricious or moronic uke (all of them are rated 8 or more). : "it makes him cute like a pet or a 5 yo in a grown boy's boy so I wanna make him MINE" Pfft!

Yea brave enough to lead his friend on by going to the movies. Then meeting up with the new guy even after he kissed him in front of his friend. What posses me off the most is when he tells sou about the kiss and when sou doesn't react there's a problem. This uke is selfish and only thinks about himself.
Queue du café de chat... :DD
it's suck ! lol
