i do not disagree with your main point at all here but i want to be clear, the wife did nothing wrong. if u read chpt 9 it goes into a bit of detail on why their marriage fell apart. but also in earlier chpts we see her side with her husband against her brother and continue to support her husband. he even says it with his own mouth. that said, he is not getting needed therapy and is taking his trauma out on his wife (not with violence!) but in other ways and it takes a toll on them. its not her fault what happened to him, she's not required to suffer in a toxic marriage because the person she's with was horribly scarred. he doesnt deserve to suffer alone either, and he will eventually heal over the course of the story but i just dont like some of these comments painting the wife as a selfish disloyal person cause she "abandoned" her husband in a time of crisis for him. cause that's....not what happened. and she also deserves empathy. the fact that it was HER brother that did this, that her own parents sided with him over her husband the clear victim in this situation? she's not unaffected. im glad the comic took a bit of time to clarify that know she didnt JUST leave right as her husband turned out to be a rape victim but rather it was over a length of time where he continued to fall apart mentally and try to regain a sense of masculinity and worth by putting alot of pressure on his wife. and again chpt 9 gives specific examples of waht went wrong. (the wife also returns at a much later point in the story at which point we may learn more about her pov as well. i cant read korean but she is in the story as an ally the whole way thru) You can absolutely sympathize with and support the MC without demonizing his wife or implying she divorced him for selfish reasons. this concludes my essay~
