meh. this story is weirdly paced. We start with Sohwa already dying, but without actually endearing us to her, so her death isn't really effective. Its been like 4 chapters and he hasn't thought of her since, I don't think he's even mourned her? She's sort of like a fridge wife.

I read Akumakira's translations first and they are very good. I tried reading the rest of it, but the translation is god awful (at least as far as I read). Its so bad I suspect its MTL.

the seme is definitely an asshole but tbh it makes it interesting, I want to know why this dude is coming back for him after all this time. He basically implies he could have found the MC at any time given his resources and the MC leaving a trail, but what does he gain from this? A child he clearly had no interest in until now? And why is he offering a (slightly) better deal to MC so he and the kid stay together? He's clearly a dick, why the bare minimum kindness now? Maybe he likes that it'll make the MC rely on him, maybe he still doesn't want to raise the kid but he needs to claim the kid one way or another, and at least this way he gets the kid but doesn't have to actually raise him.
Im not saying the other "MC gets knocked up and runs away from powerful/rich partner" where the ML is "good" or nice is bad, but Im glad this series is doing something different. And so far, the story hasn't tried to excuse the ML, even the MC realizes he's a pretty cold dude. The bar is low, but I appreciate when a story isn't afraid to have characters that aren't good (even a little cruel) but also the world/plot/characters ect acknowledge that they're shitty.

The art is just good all around, but I LOVE it when the artist does that classic shoujo detail/shading/style with the mix of horror to it? Im obsessed, its beautiful and kind of haunting. It really is like looking at the beautiful face of a siren, knowing such a gorgeous thing will doom u with angelic smile.
