He's willing to hurt the person who asked for the wish as long as he grants it, is like a Dijin from the middle east.
For clarification if you're curious, Dijins aka geniuses yeah like aladin where originally entities that where not evil or good, born from nature and so powerful they could bend destiny and reality itself, some where good some where bad, some protected some killed but all of them had one desire, Freedom.
Is not clear why but some beleve Dijins did something like a punishment they where forced to grant wishes ence why the common folk beleved they where not that powerful and took the title of deity from them, we don't really know why Dijins have to follow this strange rule since by definition they are like the embodiment of nature power.
But more than often they were creatures that didn't really care about the living.
My theory is that the author had an inspiration from them or is just an coincidence.
If you made it this far sorry for my rumbling and this confusing rambling of mine.

Wish she acted more like the dad, I don't like her getting manipulated all the time by the husband.
It just gives dumb at some points, like she's smart enough to plot and see shit coming from far way but she falls for these stupid tricks?
Just be coherent here......is she smart or naive? Pick one

Imagine you, a low life noble with family debt of THOUSANDS of moneys.... Get picked by the PRINCE, snd marry him not knowing a single thing about upper class etiquette, then the EMPEROR asks you to do something.... Would you take it as manipulation or an opportunity to show that you can be helpful despite your previous low level?
Also the Emperor is manipulating his son to get to the throne so he can rest (something the prince doesn't want) (both are lazy btw) using Courtney because she is actually a responsible and competent adult that can rein the Prince's temper in.

The doctor is one of them
Something tells me he's a hybrid too

I was thinking something similar to this. Like he really does want to help them and thinks he is doing it the right way but is probably getting manipulated behind the scenes of higher ups. You can tell when he thought chicken guy didn't want his eggs so he was giving him meds to dissolve them. But in reality the chicken wants his eggs

Does he always wear gloves? I need to check it.
But I don't know the cow guy seemed honest with his experience.
How would they inject so many people to the point many farms exist and keep the tab with all of them? Also they said that this farm was for the rejected ones plus is the government involved? Because they are literally kidnapping people.
So many questions
I HOPE YOU'RE FULL, WITH ALL THIS MANIPULATION!!
But he's so breedable so idc
