Lends you into a false sense of security about the nature of the story. Every story beat here is so well executed and hard hitting. Even as a child, Parvell has a horrid choice to make: to let the people dock and infect his kingdom, or ensure the disease never enters through the most brutal way possible. In a time where one had no alternative due to regressive medicine (the world feels very much set in a parallel dark ages period), there is unfortunately nothing wrong (in a machiavellian sense) in his choices. Regardless, he will now, ever since childhood, carry blood on his hands, and will do so unrepentantly.
On another side note, it's crazy that as a bastard his rep is so bad people will hear him save his brother, and on witnessing him playing a funeral March, would rather see it as celebration for imminent death than lamentation/processing a possible tragedy. That's a child madam.
Top getting a sad back story arc just like always omg .·´¯`(>▂<)´¯`·. I get that he had issues bc his last partner was a doubting insecure alcoholic but bro this has sucked so much for mr mo for so long. And wow yeah the commitment-phobe top getting relationship issues backstory like always sucks. Xiao-nu.. I know no matter what you do Mr mo will take you back anyway, so this time, atleast treat his heart a bit more kindly.
But it's a waste that mingwa's talent is so thoroughly overshadowed by their preference for legendarily shitty main couples. The 2nd couple in BJ Alex makes it obvious that they knows how to write good couples that have the potential for a healthy relationship, but in both BJ Alex and here the bottoms have no sense of self worth and are pretty much exploited emotionally and physically by the weirdo disgusting tops.
I hope that for mingwa's next venture, they partner with someone who is good at story creation bc I like their art and that's what keep me coming back despite how bad the writing is. I don't know if I want to see this story to its end. Jaekyung is pure fucking trash.

Goofy ass family lmao
