Wait up! Riftan Did not send her Back! Her father manipulated Maximilian and used her miscarriage, saying that riftan didn't want her anymore nd etc. Her father (That Mother F*cker) was the one that dragged her back to Croix castle. Riftan also kept going to croix castle every day to see Maximilian, to just maybe talk to her, but her Father didn't allow it. Which resulted to riftan jusr barging in the castle and seeig the duke in the act of beating Maximilian up.
They talked it out, properly, riftan even declared that anatol isn't scared of going into war with croix/croyso.
I would maybe reccomend continue reading it, because personally it's a really beautiful story, especially of how Maximilian is slowly changing, and thier journey as a couple where they start to rely on each other and stop trying to keep a "Noble Lady"/"Amazing Man" persona around each other. But that's entirely up to you! Maybe try reading it once again the story progresses more!(⌒▽⌒)
