This is a look inside Ruby's struggle as she's been given a shit hand in two lifetimes and is a look into her personal abuse she's suffered in both lifetimes. Her reactions are so much more realistic of how a person would actually react given the situation, in comparison to a lot of other MC's with similar background and stories. This story is honestly such a better look at this whole isekai reincarnation business. Because the fantasy is revenge, but the reality is usually survival.
Exactly. She was abused in ALL THREE OF HER LIVES. It doesn't matter if this is her 2nd or 3rd chance in life because the experience is still there. She literally had to live with those psychopaths under the same roof, was abandoned in her modern life by her Foster parents. The suddenly changing after getting the 2nd chance in life and throwing all the previous trauma under the rug and becoming a baddie might be a fun trope to read because I love those too but this is much more genuine and realistic. It takes time.
She's not damsel in distress, she's trying her best to survive and not get abandoned by man she loves. It took her time to properly open up to Izek because of everything she went through in the past. And I think that's a big development. Imagine going through all of that and people blaming you for being traumatised
