My dude, you’re comparing those to this anger bait of a story? MadK, Harada’s works and caste heaven, they are *supposed* to evoke feelings of angst, shock and even disgust. All Jinx does for the past 45 chapters is make people infuriated and not in an angsty way. All of them have problematic and toxic characters but can you seriously compare JK who is the same exact person as he was since the first panel, to the layered and complex characters in those works you’ve listed.
Reading MadK is better than reading this imo
my point is the angst is not even that angst compared to the other similar genred bls out there that ive read, id get it if ppl would drop it cus they felt that the depth of the story is not good enough but i was directly referring to the fact that this is not even as complex and migraine-inducing enough compared to other fiction ive read

I mean, if you're bothered by it due to finding it racist there's no need to tbh. It's more likely to be nickname based on personality than his appearance. Not to mention, Japan is also East Asian (Not South East). And it's not like monkeys are associated with South East Asians in a mocking way, or at least I don't know of any way.
As a South East Asian myself, there's nothing really offensive to me.
well as a south east asian myself i do hate to break it to you but we are in fact associated with the term "monkeys" as a racist slur by east asian people matter of fact we are also viewed as 'dirty' and 'ghetto' as a general impression by alot of east asian ppl so i just find this 'coincedence' a little bothersome thats all
