What if Lucas after the ending of the novel wished that things became different cause after all he still felt empty then and now he's rewinding his life that's why he's not too shocked and is incredibly smart now.
That’s exactly what I’ve been thinking but the problem is he still acts a little bit childish in certain ways and he should still have enough hatred for his aunt even though she is different I can tell a little bit I do like the story isn’t so focused on the child but I wish he was was a little bit more focused on him because this one is all over the place it’s not what I expected but it’s not in a bad way but yeah he might’ve instead you know with the fever or even a little bit before that he might’ve had flashes of his future basically like coming back but not know everything because he said in the train but he was too prepared it weirds me out because he said he didn’t know that this was gonna happen that’s why he brought her either he was thinking of her as a sacrificial lamb but he no cares about her or she didn’t know it was had to happen but he thought he would be able to disarm the assassin because he already had a Knife he was ready
Maybe it's because of the awkward translation at the beginning but i was very confused with the pace of the story. Like how you gonna look at somebody who looks like he was legitimately willing to chain you up and be calm the next second and act like nothing just happened (i mean he did react but like it just wasn't realistic to me lol). Almost made me question my life but it really got better these past few chapters so kudos to the translation team(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
Both Gain and Hyeon-oh's attitude is understandable. If I was in Hyeon oh's shoes, I'd feel the same emotions he's feeling, he is being left out on alot of info yknow, a powerful boyfriend with an arranged husband, and with his personality I'd be anxious too. On the other Gain, who is a worrywart and used to having "the tough" role, it's hard for him to be honest to Hyeon oh about the baby (baby reveals especially UNPLANNED ones is not that easy lmao). Although i did said understandable doesn't mean it's not flawed. They have alot to work on especially with communication but the point is don't get angry at the characters for being realistically human.
