Oh yeah ik that but even in that sense, it is same thing. The og Hikari was the person who Yoshiki liked, and not the 'Hikaru'. So even if it is a mistranslation or whether it is translators choice, both means the same, whether it is original or my.
Using "my Hikaru" could imply that Yoshiki's preferring the original Hikaru, when he's really just differentiating the two and not picking favorites. That thought process some may get was the reason I added the note for clarification.
