I just can't understand the affections shared between these two.. They are both too screwed up & when they act lovey dovey like that I just couldn't relate with them.. Can that even be called love? it was either forced or very intense rough sex that prob lasted a while. there was more than one condom on the floor plus lube. a lot of yaoi will have rape aka forced sex that the uke will supposedly "get into the mood during", as a hook up story. then they have yaois where rough or intense sex is used as punishment to "make the uke think of only the seme" kinda like when people use the phrase "pussy whipped" it implies the uke or woman has so much sexual power over the other partner that having sex alone gives them the position of power in the relationship.

Real life relationships have this occur and there's a difference between being whipped and using sex to control someone. This actually happens in real life, and falls under the category of abuse be it psychological/emotional or physical. So many people can't escape relationships like that become complacent. I don't even care about the morality of this trope because at this point more than half of yaoi uses this trope to begin with i.e. uke falls for their rapist and is "pussy whipped' you've referred to but is really a "cute" case of Stockholm syndrome to "drive" the plot. I'm just pointing out the author has decided to use forced sex as a comedic ploy but it's in bad taste when compiled with the seme's obvious jealousy and controlling manner so far as we've witnessed Even the joke saying his partner is ugly is literally something an abuser would say to their partner, as in no one else could love you but me. My issue is this manga is clearly supposed to be a heart lighted manga for now but when utilizing real world scenarios within the confines of a manga it should still be acknowledged what is happening and not make excuses for it. Readers don't have to take it for reality but or seriously as many have used as their excuse, but they shouldn't pretend or devalue the existence of what they're consuming to read.

Is that the end? Well, i guess it is kind of a fitting ending. A screwed up secret relationship born out of rape, only to result in a tragic loss that breaks apart a supposedly happy family, when Haruki decided to finally tell the truth. That left everyone in regrets, especially both Hikaru & Haruki as they are now inevitably entwined in a cruel twist of fate where they share the responsibility of causing the mother's death... I get why Haruki couldn't leave Hikaru alone despite all he had done, & I also get why he couldn't be with Hanabusa senpai... Both Hikaru & Haruki are indeed, in a sense, a partner in crime. Whether they continue to be in a sexual relationship or not is anybody's guess... But if I have to take a pick, I'd say probably not. As messed up as Hikaru is, he still loves his mother. And as broken as Haruki is, he still harbors some sympathy for his screwed up little brother. But the fact that they did cause mom to die will probably weigh more than anything. The tie that binds them is now one that won't be easily broken, but will cause them misery to the end. And Hanabusa understood this as well, as he helplessly watched the finale unfolding. The inaction was not because he was too passive, but because he knew that nothing could be done. It is kind of poetic how all of this come together to form this ending. It is not a happy ending, as everyone ends up with regrets/sadness, but I'd say it's a very fitting one. Bravo to the author for coming up with this gutsy ending. This is not something you normally see in typical mangas of any genres. I'm just sad that the real victims out all this are actually the mom & the unborn baby. They just got swept up in very bad situation, & had to pay the ultimate price...
