I don't get why the MC is getting hate lol. I liked him, his feelings were pretty valid but he didn't know how to express them (and yeah he was kinda immature in a funny way).
I thought this was a pretty light-hearted and funny manwha-- which surprised me because I just came back from reading the sequel first (and damn, that one's pretty dark)

Oh I loved how Ines reacted when she saw Carcel In front of everyone too!
But now that it seems Carcel is remembering his past life, is it possible that the prince remembers his as well? Why is he so persistent with Ines when she has tried to avoid him all this time

Yes, so from spoilers we know that Oscar remembers his past lives. Not only that, he remembers Ines's (technically everyone's) ACTUAL first life. In which Ines married Carcel but never returned his feelings (Carcel's) and essentially was toxic to him their entire marriage. In that life, Oscar lead a life of complete debauchery from the start, which lead to a rebellion and him getting killed by Lucien. Hence why he chooses to marry Ines in the second life, as a way of getting revenge, but he ends up actually developing some sort of feelings for her along the way, and it's only towards the end of their marriage (like 2 years before Ines ends herself) that he goes back to his debauchery lifestyle. I'm not sure what are his feelings for Ines in this timeliness, but I know he wasn't completely okay with how his actions pushed Ines to do what she did in the timeliness they were married.

Clarification:
Ines loved Carcel in the first life. Not sure what spoilers said she didn’t. She gave him an awful time because of certain reasons but no woman who doesn’t love a man would spend many hours on her knees praying to God to protect him while on the battlefield at war while she’s sick like a dog and dying from terminal illness. In fact, during this current timeline, Ines will attend a funeral and she will remember how in the first TL she dragged her sick body to the funeral just to see Carcel one last time.
Excerpt of Ines remembering the first TL:
Inés realized in deep fear that she could lose him in every way possible in the world.
On that selfish day, how much she loved him in the fear of the remaining days of her life. (When she thought her death was approaching in the first TL and went to the funeral just to see Carcel one last time)
Because she loved, how afraid she was of the days that couldn't be turned back. And she was still as afraid as she loved. Afraid to lose him. Afraid she hadn't lost him yet.
I like Erna, and honestly, I understand why she's in love with him. She knows he doesn't love her, but he's warm and kind to her, even though outsiders can see that he's not really doing enough for her. She's naive, and this is her first romantic relationship. Plus, they're married! She pretty much has to make the most of it. So I don't think she's a doormat, she's really just making the most of her situation.
Bjorn is really pitiful too, I feel so bad for him after everything he's been through-- being betrayed, malicious rumors, being unable to defend himself, etc. But I hate the way he's treating her, and I look forward to time when she leaves him and he suffers for it lol
why would u wish for them to break up rather than getting through with hardships and be a better person for each other????? Hes not even half as bad as the usual abusive partners in reality and other novels??
Ngl cause waiting for the time he fully realizes what he has missed and i get that they could just make up but in the chapters he just thinks erna will go back to being erna if they argue too so if erna does decide to break it off then maybe he would fully understand? Correct me if im wrong, i just wanna see the dude chase after her lol (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
