But there’s a lot more than just personal feelings and your own agenda that come into play when your in a position of power like the emperor. (I might be getting my stories mixed up but iirc this dude is one of the few emperors that actually does his job as an emperor ie. during the whole foreign delegates pork incident he doesn’t get blinded and another event I don’t remember.)
Yeah he seems pretty stupid rn (but to be fair I wouldn’t know what to say if I were him) and it’s not like he can just selfishly be like “no I don’t want a concubine” when part of his job is to pass on his lineage and his wife is potentially infertile. There would also be a whole shit ton of politics that come with rejecting a ducal family (but I can’t really comment on this area)
TLDR; Ye his a little dumb but can’t blame him
Just overall, the storytelling is really messy and all over the place,
like for instance the end of the 4th chapter and it’s unnecessary jump to a dramatic flash forward In chapter 5. At first I was into the whole “ooh I wonder what happened l?? Why is there a fight” cuz I thought I would be a character building moment where he fights with the band members due to conflict of opinions and popularity arguments (that they did mention previously only to not bring it up again) and maybe seme having a whole “ik I have an image of a selfish guy but Im serious about both my man and my music” moment which leads to confession from uke
But instead we get that whole assault scene which had no value whatsoever to driving the plot, he could of simply confessed (as he was already going to), but instead we get a assault plot with a completely irrelevant character who has a dumb motive and only lasted a bit of a chapter.
Also character relationships in this story are so vague, they never really went into exactly what they’re relationship in the past was and why uke (semi)avoids the seme (did they become friends? Was concert the only interaction?). The story is cute and good for a quick read but all they really do is fuck, the chemistry isn’t really there and we don’t really see why or how uke falls in love in the first place.

I thought end of ch 4 was a flashback to ch 1, but found out the cloths were different after checking. It was so out of place, overly dramatic, and totally unnecessary, like you said

If anything happens to Yunifer on this expedition I just know the whole “it’s my fault she got hurt, she’s only here because of me” thing is gonna happen and ma boy is gonna go all self destructive and start having depressing flashbacks

I mean.. Siwoo (red head) literally said he didn't care if Ryeojoon (blackhaired MC) got into a scandal with him, which could end his career. I feel like this a big insight of how selfish Siwoo (red head) actually is.

For a MTL this was extremely good quality. From the cleaning to the typesetting, and the cohesiveness of the text, I didn’t even realise it was a MTL until the credit page.
