I think you read it wrong, Jooin isn't talking about how he wants to end it, he's saying how if things do end he wouldn't like how it will end, that what Cain gives him is something he doesn't want to to come to an end. He was scared so he tried to wedge distance. He confirm he was pushing Cain away to avoid choosing and wanted Cain to be the one push him away instead
Let me clarify a bit, Jooin said that he's scared to chooose because he wouldn't know the outcome of it in the future, he rejected yh firmly but with Cain he purposely wanted Cain to put the wedge in so he didn't have to reject him
