This is very interesting, I wonder what went wrong, well it can be that ego of his, he has always been arrogant so I guess its not about change really, he was always capable of that, he simply made a decision that was bad, and kept going for more, is that what the author tries to convey, he wasn't humble, he was cocky, relying on his looks and never put in more effort than necessary, sigh, it's hard when I'm procrastinating by reading this lol, anyway I love Na Haesoo, I don't know why she has such a neutral appearance to others because she is so strong, handles all these jobs, still took care of Mincheol, still loved, took in all that abuse and still forgave, until it was too much so she broke down, and Taeha swooped in sigh, she's an abuse survivor, do you think she will not have one of the three responses? Fight, flight, or freeze, she froze, she is freezing her emotions because she has no safe space for them, she doesn't feel safe, everyone who went through abuse knows that once they leave and start living alone their body relaxes so they get all sorts of illnesses, it happened to me too, sadly the emotion thingy is still hard and I do let most things go, because all the energy I have is energy left to sustain myself, so what about Haesoo who works everyday so many jobs and is struggling with so much mentally about the cheater, emotionally with Taeha, physically at her different jobs, and spiritually wondering about herself what she does, do you think anyone could juggle all of these and not go crazy? Well the only way to protect her sanity is through being calm which she is doing, because she has no one she can rely on, Mincheol started beating her too, he was abusive, insulting her..etc, he used her for her money that she struggled to get he is trash who when push came to shove, he shoved her. He showed his true face now that things aren't going his way, his true horripilant self, she can't rely on Taeha cause he is very insincere and he never shares his truth, she can't feel safe, those who are nice to her are her coworkers and that's what they are fellow employees, getting paid to be there, she has no friend and that's what she needs, to first be her own friend and allow herself to cry in her own presence and make herself feel safety, try getting along with other family members, like cousins, aunts, grandma..etc even her dad maybe, maybe he changed, maybe he wasn't okay, maybe because of all the previous people who beat him he started believing that its normal, I mean the teach literally hit Mincheol with a rod, so yeah, they also lived in a village, maybe she goes back there? Finds that guy who actually cared? And make newer friends, but family first cuz they're the only ones who will be there for you even if they hate you.
OMG he's adorable kyaaaahhh now THIS is true romance!!! Literally I've read so many "romance" tagged stories and they were all way more political than romantic, just cause he holds her ones while she's focused on being a politician is seriously unromantic, it's just practical darn it! BUT THIS!!! THIS IS AWESOME!!! This is awful, what a disgusting trash of a man, wait are there people who actually abandoned their children because of things like this? I just wonder cause I know a kid who was adopted, she had said she doesn't care to know who her biological parents are because they chose to abandon her so they must be bad people..I was young and still had hope that people were good, maybe they were ill..etc, as we became adults she went and saw them from afar, she told me they had a family and children and they were perfectly happy...I dont think I want to find out about mine either, cause I was also told they are married and I apparently have younger half siblings that I don't know of, I would..rather never know, but maybe I'm curious..haa.
Anyway, there are bad people in the world, not everyone abandons their kids for "good" reasons..well its never good for th child no matter how adults try to rationalise it, all it does is hurt
humans aren't smart sadly. Humans do stupid things, even if it seems smart at the time. the best thing to do, is learn from what stupid you have seen and heard about. To do better, try not to repeat it. and the best revenge on someone that did or said a shitty thing to you like abandoning you. Grow up stronger than them. Have a happier, healthier family than them. It does not mean you have to have children too, just means you have those you love around you that make you happy and your life shine in your own way.
You're right, truthfully I'm not the type to think about it much either, I used to think "well they had their reasons" and leave it at that, till someone who wad there told me about how their parents were the ones who adamantly refused, and they didn't even let the dad go in, they wanted to get rid of me as they probably saw this as bringing shame to them, I was told they were ready to k*ll the guy who was her boyfriend too ha, I didn't know all that and it does seem like 'drama' but damn..being so cruel to your own blood, that's really been angering me now that I know, as they say "ignorance is bliss" and a psychologist said "you should accept now that you're 18, that you were never wanted, no one wished for you to be born" so I responded with "God created me, so yes I am indeed wanted."
Haa, I didn't know humans had such hatred of orphans, and even here when I commented about how they deserve to live like normal children, I was swarmed with hate and dislikes, people saying its a waste of money, that the caregivers should focus on their "real" families instead of orphans, and I can't count the number of time my own adoptive family who I always thought of as real family, have told me that I'm not their sister, their daughter, and how a cousin legit smirked once she learned I was adopted, like she had something on me? Like suddenly now she feels her life is worth more than mine and she got all arrogant with me, damn. So yeah definitely agree with your point, people are stupid and now I understand why I was told not to share that ibfor because humans are harassers and abusers. I regret telling them, I feel like I made a mistake in trusting this "family"
