Lmao the last one is so real but so sad at the same time. There's almost no actual gay person in most yaois if you think about it, they're either straight that only "likes" this one dude but still only gets attracted to women or very rarely, actually bisexual. Sad reality cosidering the fact that yaoi is based off of gay people.（￣へ￣）

Well there are a lot of yaoi with full on gay characters too, around 40% of all the yaoi i've read until now anyway. I don't really take yaoi too seriously though. Some yaoi can explore queer identity or issues faced by gay people, and many of them are simply just a woman's fantasy starring gay characters :)

From the looks of it Kang Mu planned the entire thing just to get Kirin. He was obsessed with him ever since he first saw him and took his photo. And that was before the raping and suicide of the sister. He became aware of kirin because of Kirin’s sister talked about him a lot when they first met at the hospital. He’s actually a diagnosed psychopath who is obsessed with death. I think he did that to the sister because he was jealous of her closeness to Kirin.

I don't know... I really don't think Kang mo killed kirin's sister. If he really did something like that kirin would never forgive him, in fact he would search revenge and there would be no relationship at all between them. A real tragedy. From what it looks like they are still together later on. Kang mo after uni will work with detective Nam, as a forensic ( like in CSI, looking the crime scene, and collecting the evidences) so he can watch death people in a daily basis. He still struggles with his hidden violent behavior in fact he hunts to stop the urge of killing or hurting someone and fights in cages. This scene is quite spettacular btw lol.
Kirin in the other hand tries to help Kang mo the best he can, he is still into him, and will work as an architect.

Kang mo did know kirin's sister befere meeting him in the library, I think in that moment he was surprised to meet him for the second time, he got intrigued by him and from what his sister told him about him. When the rape happened Kang mo was in the states, so he couldn't do anything for her. He cared for her, and if I'm not mistaken he told her his issues. When he heard about her death and what happened he wanted revange and one by one "killed" the members of the secret club. His so called friends. I say killed but in reality he played them and made them against each other so in the end he manipulate carefully the situation. Very clever and without dirting his hands.
In the next chapters Kang mo will reveal to kirin everything.

I've been reading yaoi since 2012 and yes, there are A LOT of yaoi that have actual gay characters. Around 65-75% i'm estimating. but that tends to be focused on the more smutty side of yaoi where it's just something you fap to, barely a plot, really short, that's why it's so mass produced. It's because gay men are the focus of these types of mangas, take the stories on myreadingmanga for example. They're more of gay porn rather than yaoi stories, so I tend to not consider these as actual yaoi "mangas".

If we were to exclude the more porny side of yaoi, the percentage of actual gay characters would lower to a meager 15-25% i'm estimating. That's just how little and uncommon it is for actual gay men to be portrayed in a yaoi manga. It's because the targeted audience aren't gay guys but rather cis heterosexual women. That's why all matters of actual representation of gay characters are just thrown out of the window for a more heterosexual, masculine character that would sell more to a straight hetero female audience. That's where you get the typical yaoi "i'm not gay but only like you" "I've been fucking girls, why do i like him now" "Why can't I get hard to girls anymore, am I gay? But i still like girls" kind of shit shacks.

It's to fullfil the female fantasy, make them feel a sense of having a chance with this guy they're fetishizing and make them more attractive. The more masculine he is = the more it sells. There's a reason why the word "fujoshi" stands for spoiled/rotten women because in reality, it's really just plain old fetishization of gay guys by straight women.

Haha very true. That's why i have a love-hate relationship with BL comics. I'll admit, i find 2 attractive men fucking very hot. It is said that Kangmu met Kirin at the library before he knew Kirin's sister, but it's not.
After Kirin's sister's incident, Kangmu leak information to Kirin about himself, and Kirin meet Kangmu in the library as if it were a coincidence.
And, Kangmu is not revenge for her.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but Kang Mu admits to Joo Hyuk before killing him that he isn’t getting revenge for Seorin (Kirin’s sister). He literally says,”Why would I get revenge for a woman who I had only seen once?” In chapter 33, Kang Mu tells Kirin about how he got curious about the brother of the woman, who is obviously obsessed with him. He don’t go into much detail about Kirin in this one but made it seem like he liked the sister. But in chapter 37, he talks about the day he went to see who Kirin was and photographed him for his sister. Kirin had piqued his interest. He then goes to the United states and doesn’t hear from Seorin for awhile. Then he gets the shocking news of what happened to her. Yes, I did upset him. But it wasn’t enough to make him want to get revenge. He tries to go visit her ashes but finds a broken Kirin there. He silently watches him mourn. He comments on how he looks like he’s decomposing. Further in to this chapter, he makes obvious that he kept track on Kirin’s dating life. He says Kirin dated 5 people since he last saw him, they were all female, and he doesn’t know how far they went. He talks about his own experiences but they were not dating. He pretty slept around trying to satisfy himself but it only satisfied him on a physical level. But it clear he kept thinking about Kirin. He talks about the meeting in the library. He was actually waiting on Kirin to find him. So yeah, he was purposely spreading info about himself around. On the night of the initiation is when he lost control and decided that he wanted to destroy the club. He felt he needed to protect Kirin from them. He used Kirin’s need for revenge to do this. Plus, the club actually belonged to Kang Mu in the beginning but after go to the US, Joo Hyuk took it over and changed it. There used to be more members too.

Ok, you're explanation makes a lot of sense in so many way. Obviously from the image my mind tried to put an explanation and the only one that made sense to me was that in some way Kang mo was in a relationship with kirin's sister. I thought they were friends, and when he learned about her death he decided to take revange on the secret club. I didn't understand why he was the only member of the secret club to be known.... If he wanted to he could have hidden his identity like the other members. But the fact that it was on purpose and he planned to be found out by kirin from the start , it's definitely something that I can see him doing it. It shows how clever he is and how ahead he is from the others.
The fact that he has taken revenge not only for kirin's sister but mostly for kirin himself shows how much he was into him since the very beginning.
Now the firsts chapters are more meaningful watching them from Kang mo prospective.

1. Kang moo knows Kirin sister. They were somewhat friends and occasionally keep in touch. KM didn’t hear from her for a while and found out she was gang rape by the group. This was while he was studying in US. He came back to exact revenge, coincidentally at same time with Kirin.

2. Woman was just some random woman to throw off Joohyuk and the group later on. She was to pretend to be Kirin’s mom who had gone missing after the death of Kirin’s sister.

3. KM basically set up everything plotting on the downfall of each member. Kirin was aware of the plot in later part and pretended to be kidnap by Joohyuk and another character. Turns out KM wants them to kill each other. Joohyuk killed the other character and finally found he was being played. KM and Kirin then chased Joohyuk to the cliff and killed him.

4. Joohyuk’s mom was upset over the death of her son and hired a PI. KM slept with this PI to protect Kirin. Later on, KM worked with the detective to set up the PI and free Kirin and KM from being set up.

5. The extras are pretty sweet but last part does indicate that KM could never stop his psychopath side but as long as Kirin is by his side, he could somewhat manage.
