that’s not how "gay" or "male body" works, I know it’s common in yaoi (due to it mostly portraying male-female relationship ) but this whole seme uke thing is actually kinda offensive! I’m done with this "I was born to top, you were born to be bottom???!! " trope!

Don't get me wrong, both of you are absolutely right, but maybe you would prefer a bara manga over yaoi/BL. Those are from men for men, when yaoi is from female for female.
But I absolutely get you. Those cliches are annoying, too much and used too often. In German I would say "they are ausgelutscht"

I thought this was one of the more unique storylines that didn't overplay the seme/uke (top/bottom) trope. The opportunity played out for the "uke" to try out playing with the "seme's" prostate and to "top" him. The result was the "seme" just didn't feel good with his prostate being played with, which is realistic. Some gay men actually have little sensitivity towards their prostate area and hate the "feeling" of insertion (which is why some gay men are tops only). Rather than the situation being self determined, there was at least actual experimentation before concluding who to top/bottom. Experimentation itself is a unique (and realistic) in comparison to most other yaoi story lines.

I agree LDR you got it right!
the blonde guy is dead, in the first page it says "I can only embrace you in my happy memories".
and when he talks about that memory (when blonde's dad beats them up) he's thinking about possibilities and how he could've change things
In other word it's his biggest regret/ burden because that day is the last time they saw each other
@Anonymous
sorry for the late reply if u see this, I didn’t get a notification for some reason !
I meant more then it being in our culture it’s discrimination and a much deeper issue than just sweets.
(I’m Asian myself) and as a minority, I’m well too aware of all the wrong ways you can be a man(or woman) !!
I’m saying ppl (especially some westerners) just brush it off as "culture", but in truth many of these behaviors are downright homophobia /prejudice, and just because it’s done by foreigners doesn’t make it alright.
Sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia etc regardless of wherever on this planet they’re done, are not culture, they’re "lack of culture" .
This story is so light hearted tho, it’s more of a "scary looking dude with a heart of gold, afraid he’s gonna scare ppl off" trope, rather than the messed up things u see ppl do in real life!
