I think I see a lot of death flags for our second ML. He's kinder then the Duke and has a genuine connection with and care for the Duchess. He has a past debt to repay in a dramatic manner.

If you were hurt and disgusted by reading this story. If you kept reading because you desperately wanted Minho to find freedom and the story to be redeemed in the end and you are as disappointed as I am.....I recommend you go read Define the Relationship for some healing. It's smutty and sweet. It's Alpha/alpha so still weird bl world but they love each other and achieve a happy relationship at some point...pilgrims go to the healing spring. There's consent and everything. Please reply with your healing recommendations.
Or if you are rocking the violence and twistedness, but still want a main couple that come to love each other and work things out try Bi No Isu and it's sequels. It's messed up because they are Yakuza but it's a genuinely happy ending.
Or if you want BL BDSM but not nearly this abusive try Ang Ang or the sometimes quite funny Full Volume. There is so much good stuff on this site how did I wind up here...

i am okay with this ending(because that's minho decision) ,i like this story because it's not romanticize rape. it's rare comic like this.
I get frustrated with people in fiction who are dating a nonhuman and then are very offended and disappointed because "Why aren't they acting like a normal person? Why are they so weird, their morality is so off." Yes. He's not a human being so he doesn't act like one. To give the MC credit it's not like little white hair has explained very much or tried to explain what makes him different. But it's a frustrating theme in bl. Also "I am dating a psycho but why isn't he kinder to other people?"
P.S. The answer is because he is a psycho and you spent all the chapters before you got together ranting about that so you knew.
There are a few things that aren't perfect for me in the characterization, but I love the setting, the pacing, the atmosphere and the world building of this story. I love the MC being wise and patient for once instead of a childish troublemaker. I love the romance of the two characters being attracted to each other because they find peace in the same experiences and in each other, in the forest and the sea. I love falling into love gradually with someone you spend time with instead of a tumultuous relationship of expressing your feelings dramatically.This story contains some poetry.
I actually really enjoyed this even though the Seme made me mad and in real life would be evil. After they got together it just seems like an S&M fantasy to me? Like imagine you were insecure and you had a boyfriend who took control and fucked all your worries away.... I like fantasizing
Does this woman respond to a man who threatens her and uses weak people and her brother's safety to threaten her with blushes and "I think we're becoming friends"? Is she legit insane or the only thing that matters is his looks?
I like the genre so far, other people think it's boring but it's hurt/comfort. The theme so far is the uke was hurt and Kenny is doing his best to help him. It's problematic if it were real, but this is a website that also posts killing/stalking so I think we're not shocked by problematic content. It absolutely wouldn't be okay in real life, but two characters hugging kissing and comforting each other through anger and tears is what I am here for. I get that if'd be boring if you wanted plot, though.
Don't name call and throw insults in the comments. Calling people names and cussing them out is not acceptable behavior. Once you realize someone is immature or prejudiced it does not give you a license to be cruel and immature in return. I don't know how old everyone is, but "They started it" is not an impressive argument. It can be hard to express anger and disagreement respectfully, but assuming we are all adults, we can achieve it.
P.S. If you aren't an adult, you have no business reading this story. There's more upsetting themes going on here than just sex. If you find this story emotionally disturbing, please respect your mental health and move on to the many other wonderful love stories available. If you are dealing with trauma related to sexual relationships, please remember that fiction can be a fun escape but it is not the place to get true healing or resolve trauma. There are a lot of great resources available for that and I do take advantage of them.
