Best way I can think of explaining it is that he gets his signals crossed and misunderstands situations and acts on those misunderstandings when he really shouldn't. Totally didn't realize Hojun was the other MC here. The beginning was all over the place, i thought the coworker was going to be the one. You end up understanding what's going on, but it's confusing at first. So, Gyulwoo and Hojun have been in love since middle school, but too scared to say anything. Hojun walks in on Gyulwoo being fucked by Jihyuk (just a fellow gay he met on message boards, his first gay friend he could talk about everything to. They never dated, they're just sex friends since their town was small), Gyulwoo freaks out thinking Hojun is disgusted and runs away to school in Seoul, then Gyulwoo's sister Hyeonwoo invites Hojun over while she lives with Gyulwoo again for a bit later in the future as Hojun and Hyeonwoo had kept in contact and were good friends. At this point Gyulwoo is working in a soul-sucking company and has a sort of crush, but really just lust, for this coworker named Doyun, who he had a one night stand with. This makes you think he's the guy, that the story will progress between them, but it actually ends up being that Doyun was just wanting to keep it a secret like he said that night and he's engaged soon after. Now Hojun is back in the picture, he's confessed like a man and he's romancing Gyulwoo, great progress too, they've had sex like 2 or 3 times and he's made Gyulwoo admit he liked him back then. Only thing in the way now is Gyulwoo's own insecurities, he's thought the entire time that Hojun liked his sister, Hyeonwoo.
