In this chapter it's unclear which male lead yelled "penelope" in order to warn her....BUT in the novel it was Vinter who yelled her name to warn her.
Also Reynold is so cute aww. Derrick was running away from Penelope's side but Reynold was running towards her. Reynold >>> Derrick

I'm a sucker for cute scenes. I love how Beom had a dream where Dowon swallowed that creep and then kissed beom's cheek. On top of that, he woke up smiling and then felt motivated to broadcast again. Beom and Dowon are the reasons that I keep going

Okay so some of y'all have been saying Eclise is the second male lead or he's giving you SLS...but he's not the second male lead. He's the secondary antagonist. Yes he get's a redemption but that doesn't not make him the secondary antagonist. Second leads, male leads, and female leads, are all protagonists. You can't be the secondary antagonist or antagonist AND be the second lead because those are opposing roles. That doesn't mean you can't have protagonists with the morals of an antagonist (aka the villain/villainess tropes) but they are still the protagonists. Antagonists are the ones who are getting in the way of the Protagonists...and boy oh boy does eclise live up to that. lol eclise could be giving you SAS (secondary antagonist syndrome).
So if Eclise isn't the second male lead, who is? Vinter. I'm going to go through all the things that make the second male lead, the second male lead. The number one thing you must have...is an unrequited love and vinter does have that. This isn't a requirement but Second leads do tend to be really sweet but not just to the female lead. They're sweet to almost everyone (this one of the reasons we always fall for them). Vinter is a very sweet person. Even in normal mode, he never hurt Penelope in the way the other male leads did. His role was just to cheer up Yvonne and use his magic to find out what Penelope was planning. Plus he payed for his sins in the same timeline he did them (unlike the others) but i'll get into that later. When Penelope was upset after the competition he sent her this magic bunny thingy to cheer her up. Later on Vinter said, "Even when you didn't cry, you always had a sad fave." Jealousy is also an important factor of being the Second male lead. Male leads will always be jealous when it comes to the second male lead. Callisto sure lived up to that but so did Derrick. Derrick was always very upset whenever Penelope was around Callisto and Vinter. Next is dynamics. Male leads and second male leads will always help the female lead and will team up if it is necessary (despite the jealousy and rivalry between them). The team (trio) that stopped Yvonne was Vinter, Callisto, and Penelope. Now let's talk about sacrifice (vinter paying for his sins). After normal mode, Vinter sacrificed himself in order to reset time before Callisto killed Penelope (callisto killed her in normal mode) and then hard mode began. In hard mode, VINTER WAS THE RESET BUTTON!! he sacrificed himself every time to bring her back and he apologized for being foolish (aka being brainwashed). I was saving the best for last but let's talk about the classic second lead move....the pitiful send off. I'm gonna be honest...i cried when I was reading this part. Quotes from the novel....
[vinter speaking] " I'm so happy." There was a tingling pain that passed through his blue eyes when he said so.
[vinter speaking] "If I say that I want this time to last forever, you'd think that it's ludicrous."
[*skipping an inner monologue*]
[Penelope speaking] "Well, I like the Crown Prince"
[*more inner monologue*]
[Vinter speaking] "Now, his highness is by your side to make the lady laugh." Penelope slowly raised her head. Whether he meant or not, Vinter was smiling at her with warm eyes.
[*more inner monologue*]
Penelope waited for him, trying not to see his teary dark blue eyes, and tried to soothe his feelings.

Awe my poor bb Vinter but anyways Vinter is the second male lead and Eclise is the secondary antagonist that later gets redemption.
i forgot to include some stuff abt the brainwashing oops. Callisto was completely immune to it and it had really weak (almost noting) effects on vinter. he did affect the others a lot though (the most being eclise and derrick which isn't a surprise since they both harbor similar feelings towards her aka extreme obsession).
